They both know how the game works. Kane feeds off literally any media buzz and he's not bad at it - it's why his new contract is so good. He's pissed away his talent and achieved nothing in his sport. He's not a total knob like Tomic, but it's pretty close in terms of being lazy and unprofessional.

In terms of relevance, Kane has very little outside of 3 states, his opinions hold very little weight, even compared to Nick.
