Personally, I dont know how or why people expect different.

New coach, new system, young kids and still a few passengers that will removed from the side as we progress in the rebuild.

GWS on the other hand is a side that have hard bodies, mature and professional. They know who they are and know their game and how to enforce it. The way GWS move the ball at speed is commendable.

There will be blow outs, and this weekend was a blow out. The effort was inconsistent and at times we looked okay but we a still a bottom of the ladder side. I dont see these games disappearing until next season or the season after. The media rhetoric is repeat and sensationalise the bullshit. Internally work hard, implement the changes and things will turn around slowly. It will take time and patience.

We are coming from a long way back.

I usually can tolerate Scofield more than the rest, but today's shelter podcast he was poor.

Starts off criticising the older cohort as being out of form. When Redding's suggests Kelly, "oh he was being tagged", Allen "oh he was on Taylor".

Happy to whack McQualter for dropping his mate HEdwards and relentless hang shit on Reid for being poor whilst being constantly tagged, but can't do the same for his mates. Just excuses to deflect criticism from his mates.

I was listening to the ABC commentary and heard Ryan O'Keefe make a comment about Harley along the lines of "you can just tell he is definitely not going to be there next year". Like, how can you just tell. Because you are a Victorian with an agenda.

Now, we've heard similar statements made before about Harley but the way he said it was almost he was being intuitive/condescending/smug/in-the-know all at the same time. But but what made me really cringe was that this was coming from a guy who openly told Sydney he was worth more than they wanted to offer and that he wanted to go to Hawthorn...only to come crawling back with his tail between his legs to take a lesser offer from Sydney when Hawthorn said no thanks.

The same players have been getting away with putting in this kind of effort for four years now, I doubt a public shaming's gonna do anything. You gotta have pride in performance first to feel shame for the last four years of horse shit.

7 eagles mids in that Jones footage in the center square all jogging

Lauds the 'leadership' and 'standard setting' of guys like Barrass, Darling and Oscar Allen non stop but in the last four years have failed to see one ounce of leadership and standard setting from any of those blokes.

Scofield is a tosser. Who cares what he thinks.

Harleys stats from Sunday make interesting reading. Team high 25 disposals, and our best distributor. Ok for an unfit second year player.

Tk gets doesn’t cop anywhere enough criticism really. No leadership, goes missing far too often and even when he plays a good game it’s blemished due to his poor disposals. Any Midfielder of his quality would be disappointed by a 14 disposal outting and would never have a game like that again. He bounced back in round 2 but then when right back to his trueself the following two games

Some more damning footage of TK from OTC, Good Bad and the Ugly tonight.
Just decided not to chase in the first few minutes.
A bit like the Duggan footage.

He just doesn't seem to be invested.

Wonder if Mini will make the call and drop him.
Just looked it up holy shit is that bad, trying to hand over to baker who was BEHIND him kelly stays in the center square while whitfield breaks out on the wing, Harley breaks off to close the whitfield option correctly, then Kelly lets ash jog past him with ball in hand

Schofield was (and still is) a big part of the purple circle that got way too big for their boots after the flag

Theres probably a reason why he never got his lap

Was asked this directly by Rhino on his 7News interview last night

Side stepped it pretty well but admitted he was badly out of form and they needed to try things to help him regain it

worst thing is that this was about 3 mins into the game. nothing to do with being tired.

are senior players silently protesting for being hard done by the club for no longer dishing out multi year deals on big money for minimal performances?

at this rate, it may come to pass that WCE also tells Duggan to look elsewhere.

Woeful Kelly, drop him, Duggan with him. Make a statement.

This was noticeable with kelly against the suns

Hackdorn is back, backing up what Sumich went with last week

Hmm, I'm wondering if they read what they're typing as they go along?

There's supposedly a rift between Pyke and the players due to Pyke wanting Allen to step down as captain.

Oh, wait a minute, it was actually the board who requested it an Pyke left it up to Allen to make the call.

Also, perhaps the club feels 'unloved' by Allen, considering his form's dogshit and he's only had 1 decent season out of the last 6, despite being on a big contract? If he really wants to stay, pay back the club for being unavailable for huge chucks of his contract by taking the smaller one with the triggers maybe?
