I personally think he would rotate from forward flank ,wing and into the midfield.. especially our problem is our age of midfielders between 25-30year-old , have plenty over 30 and plenty 23 and under.

He is not a midfielder but can play the other roles. His biggest weakness is his self belief - he has just never had that alpha male approach to his game.

He'd be taking Harmes role most likely. Goal kicking isnt really a priority id assume.

He's such a pea heart. Zero determination at all. Would rather be collecting a pay check at Sandringham than moving interstate to play AFL.

The high cost of living in WA is probably a significant factor in Billings not wanting to move over and play for Freo.

I am not sure if Freo were actually chasing him anyway.

I was disappointed that Melbourne traded pick 2 in 2013, I wanted them to draft Billings (Josh Kelly was picked at 2 and seen as the clear best player in that draft). Based on his 2012 National Carnival I thought he would be a superstar.

Question for saints fans - or anyone that has watched a lot of him. Why has he never looked any good? Is it a lack of desire like Jack Watts, or was he just very overrated as a junior?

Definitely had/has the talent but seemed to get thrown around by the coaching staff and lost confidence.

I always thought he was worth trying at half-back given he is good overhead and has a neat field kick.
