Probably the Sydney CBD around midnightIsn't that Rundle mall?
lol .. Sydney having whinge about Dawson after all their Tippett shenanigans
Your clubs trade offer for a key forward who could chop in the ruck on a massive lengthy contract was so laughing bad there alarms going off everywhere in AFL houseThe Tippett shenanigans were nothing to do with us! They were AFC and Tippett who wrote a draft tampering clause into their contract. Do your homework.
BS nothing to do with Sydney. The Tippett shenanigans were nothing to do with us! That was Adelaide's attempt to rort the system that blew up in your face. AFC and Tippett wrote a draft tampering clause into their contract. Do your homework.

Perhaps had Sydney been prepared to deal in somewhat better faith it wouldn't have turned into the clusterf*ck it did
BS nothing to do with Sydney.
No .. what I suggested was that your club chose not to approach the trade in good faithSo you're suggesting we should have colluded with you in your attempts to tamper with the draft? I wasn't involved but I daresay the fact that Tippett was available relatively cheap was no doubt part of his appeal. If we had had to pay through the nose for the trade we might not have been interested.

I really can't be bothered having a long winded conversation over an event that happened 10-12 years ago with you
If you really can't see the hypocrisy in regard to your comment re Dawson, I'm sorry but I just can't help you. You finished up with a very reasonable first round pick for a player who was out of contract and had played around 60 games in 5 years on your list.
Now, this is the Peatling thread. Probably time for us all to move on
You had a whinge about Dawson you peanutYou're the guy who raised a trade from 12 years ago. (See post #476 above.)
As I recall, Tippett and Adelaide FC wrote into their last contract that AFC would trade Tippett to the club of Tippett's choice for a 2nd rounder at the end of the contract. The club were reluctantly going to go through with it when they thought Tippett was going to the Suns but spat the dummy when he nominated the Swans. I don't see how that means the Swans didn't approach the trade in good faith.
Happy to leave it there (I didn't raise it) but be brave enough to concede that you're throwing in the towel because you're talking crap.
Bunch of factual information with quotes involved in that article then the parts you are using in Sydney's defence are the Alleged promises. Tipett wanted Sydney and crows wanted fair value, Sydney didn't want to give up fair value so Tippett told on himself and the club, fk tippett and fk sydney. It's all here: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2012-11-30/afl-ruling-kurt-tippett-adelaide-crows/4400256. Bone up if you want to raise this issue again.
Not only that but they also made their trade offer contingent on us having to take Jessie White as well. Adelaide said they would take Pick 23 alone, and Sydney refused saying it had to include White. They over paid him and not only wanted Tippet for nothing, but they wanted us to take a Salery cap dump for them as well.Your clubs trade offer for a key forward who could chop in the ruck on a massive lengthy contract was so laughing bad there alarms going off everywhere in AFL house

No one is writing that in their contract lol. It was in an email which Tippett's manager used which also got his client in trouble lol.So you're suggesting we should have colluded with you in your attempts to tamper with the draft? I wasn't involved but I daresay the fact that Tippett was available relatively cheap was no doubt part of his appeal. If we had had to pay through the nose for the trade we might not have been interested.
And you're suggesting the Swans are somehow responsible for writing terms into Tippo's contract with your footy club years before Tippett ever came to Sydney? Either that's some inspired long term planning or just some sixth spidey sense that it would work out well. I wish our list managers were that canny.
Take responsibility for your own club's **** up.
Try asking some Swans fans.
It’s getting done, possibly by FridayI’ve been unable to follow the news closely.
Can someone (without pushing opinions) let me know what the current situation is? Is the deal getting done and what is it most likely to be for?
If Crows finish above GWS next year (not that I expect that to happen) that trade would become a phenomenal deal. It’s getting done, possibly by Friday
Looks like some mix of future 2nd and 3rd round picks. I’m guessing it looks like:
Adelaide: Peatling, Giants F2
GWS: Crows F2, Crows F3
Yep, exactly the risk of such deals. If Crows finish above GWS next year (not that I expect that to happen) that trade would become a phenomenal deal.
Paying 600k x 4 …. Deserves those picksGIANTS PUSH FOR TWO PICKS
GREATER Western Sydney has been keen on Adelaide's future second-round pick and selection No.46 in this year's draft in exchange for midfielder James Peatling.
But the Crows are not expected to hand over the selections, with more negotiations likely in coming days.
Adelaide's future second-round pick is set to be the central part of the trade talks between the clubs, with the Giants starting with an eye on the Crows' second remaining pick this season as well (No.46 is Adelaide's next selection after its pick No.4).
