Most other teams are selling tickets to their home games up to round 15.

Geelong have given their fans crickets to even an on sale date.

Most other clubs do not have the issue we have with construction. I doubt too many people are up in arms ..as they know somethings go wrong when you are constructing something. Ever built something like a house or an extension? Especially after the last two years.

Maybe if the Swans had their own stadium to update instead of the cricket ground you may have a better appreciation of the issue.

Meanwhile ..I'm wonder what the footy trains schedule is two days out .. and I get this... not like the are building a new track.

Just curious, as I am not located in Geelong, is there any movement on the new stand or is it at a stand still now until the steel issue is fixed?

Also is it a possibility that like the MCG in 2003 the bottom tier could open at some point to give some seats, or is it all over until 2024?

They are going to open the bottom tier, but at buyers' risk if the top tiers fall down on you

Most? I think the answer is None - every club's ground, bar GWS and GC, is run by an independent body who are at an arms length from the footy club and only get a say as a stakeholder. And with GC and GWS, its the AFL's problem, not the clubs. Interestingly, it will probably be an issue for Tassie as well if that get onboard

I'd sooner have gambling ads than bright, animated boundary fence ads of any description.
yeah ....nah - one is slightly annoying - the other ruins people and devastates families

Gambling out Crypto in:oops:

They should pair the crypto.com ads with this link:

You think Crypto is a Ponzi scheme? Id have thought it was more like one of those classic bubbles like when the world when crazy for Tulips.. etc. but I know little about it. Its does more like something out of "trading places" than a Warren Buffett contrarian investment seminar... I guess the trick is not to end up in the gorilla suit ...

You think Crypto is a Ponzi scheme
It's even more asinine than a Ponzi scheme. With crypto, idiots who believe something that has no value actually has value, and somehow find more idiots that believe it to...then it turns into pass the parcel, but in this case the one left holding the parcel gets the most shafted.

Not to sidetrack the thread TOO much, but IMO cryptocurrencies are here forever.

You're correct, but the idiots you cite are speculating in currency exchange. There's nothing magical about this, people have been trading currencies since there were currencies. But crypto is not really a sound investment strategy, despite all the shiny blockchain bits.

The reason cryptocurrencies will remain is because they are decentralized and theoretically make value transfers a whole lot easier than trading, say, Aus $ for Belarus rubles. Ethereum in particular is working to establish ETH as an easy-to-use currency for regular personal transactions across the planet, don't know how far they've gone, but I can't put ETH in a vending machine yet.

Hey all,

There's been some interesting chat of late, but not sure much of it has anything to do with the Redevelopment of KP

Can we please get back on track and for those who want to keep talking about crypto currency, I'm pretty sure there's other options for that

...and again, has zero to do with the club. All AFL operated and run with the AFL itself at the mercy of construction outside their remit or control.

I am an AFL Member, am keen to go to this GF rematch with some Geelong friends. Any idea on whether AFL Members will have a decent crack at seats for Rd6? Last I read tickets will be Ticketmaster April 12, 10am. Cheers

No, 'we' really, really, really, really don't.

What on earth would give you that impression?

I say we because I am living in Geelong nowadays and my kid goes for Geelong, so call it a soft spot. Hell, I took him to the GF last year.

What gives me that impression? There is a fair chance that games like Geelong v Essendon were scheduled at KP with the idea the new stadium would be ready. If both teams are up and about, there's a good chance the AFL will see the 70k seats dollar signs at the MCG and want to move it. Wouldn't be the first time.

I'd prefer it local.

Wouldn't be the first time they ask, I agree. Should absolutely be another time where the GFC tells them to shove it, though. Here's an insanely cool idea, Cats...why not take your already agreed actual home game and willingly transfer it from your own home ground to the home ground of your opponent?

We all know that the notion that any other team would choose to do this is just utterly nonsensical. And yet the Cats are expected by many to still pony up as the mugs in this transaction, not only conceding their own home ground advantage but actually granting one to their opposition at the same time.

Only geelong support afl members get KP access. Might be worth switching your membership support…..
