Frustrating the last 5 or 6 yrs the AFL website has had a whole lot of highlight videos for pretty much every player who nominated for the draft.

Nothing this year except some interviews and about 30 odd “generation next” clips.

I hope they release highlights of all players drafted as the draft occurs…
The quality of the AFL's digital offerings via their website has diminished significantly recently. I wonder if it's been a victim of staffing/resourcing cuts due to the financial hit sustained from COVID. It's not just the aesthetic/layout issues that have plagued it for a while but the absence of the tools and data they used to provide.

Thing is, he doesn't. He's average at best, has been compared to Oscar McInerney from Brisbane (who is a nothing ruckman), and only has size ala Mumford, which he uses for his ruck craft. No speed, no leap, no agility, ability to play as an extra mid, play as a forward etc.

Do not want one bit. Theres a reason he's touted to go anywhere from 25-40 and not Top 10 - despite being basically the only pure ruckman in the draft.

fair enough, I've only just watched the highlights package - I was gung ho for Luke Jackson a couple of seasons ago - I realise we didnt have the draft capital to take a swing, still, I think we could have tried to manufacture something.

I know next to nothing about Conway but I am all for drafting and developing our own big man over trading in no-hopers.

Conway his tap work is very good i think Zorba is infront of him but if the club want him i can see him getting better, he reminds me more of Steve O'Dwyer aka ears

Nice, blast from the past there - showing your age a bit though Drunkcat! ;)
Surprised to see O'Dwyer only played the 89 games; was overtaken by Jim Stynes and injuries took a toll too ..

I just hope we don’t blow up next year esp after the way we fell off a cliff the last 2 months this year by having any thought of burning a 2nd round future pick to climb the draft ladder a few rungs this year.

Higgins, Rohan, Dahl, Touhy and maybe one of I Smith, Selwood will be gone.

To only have one pick under 45 next year to replace them with would border on insanity. I could live with sacrificing the Carl F3rd somehow but we have to keep two picks under 32ish next year.

We've got a good draft hand this year and will nab some good players. I wouldn't even trade up this year unless Goater drops.

I agree, we need to keep next year's picks..

The Doggies have to trade before the bid comes in at 2, right? So we're finding out in just over an hour.
im pretty sure they can trade once the bid arrives - they dont have to do it before hand I dont think... but id imagine they'd want to have a plan in place.. thus all the speculation to this point

Don't we have that many list spots?

Here's hoping it's the truth.
Also means we drop a few extra games next season. Worthwhile if it means we find 4 or 5 long term players oppsed to topping up for another quit exit come finals.
