I think if he's real upset, the premiership medals - only one of which he really earned, IMO; the other two he was along for the ride - will serve as marvellous tissues.

For someone who I disliked quite a lot, in his early years, I think Jack Riewoldt is a fantastic player, a player that became a lot more team focused and driven as he got older, congratulations on getting to 300.

The way this is getting reported shits me a bit.

It wasn't 'a clash' or 'a contest'; Martin lowered his arm into a bump, and jumped into him looking to knock Robinson's head off. If he hit anyone who didn't have a head made from solid granite, he'd have knocked them clean out and/or done serious damage, but Robinson is made of old nails and the stuff they used to build the foundations of skyscrapers.

If Robinson had come off worse - concussion or otherwise - the narrative woud be drastically different, but no it's all about how Martin was hurt after a 'contest' for the ball.

Should get weeks. If his name was Byron Picket or - ironically enough - Mitch Robinson, he'd have gotten weeks despite being injured.

Don't think you'll convince me much here. Dusty doesn't go the bump in a contest unless he thinks he's got the size advantage. It gets overlooked a bit due to 'All hail and praise the greatest human to have walked this blessed soil!', but he very much picks and chooses when he goes and when he doesn't.

There was a situation very similar to this one in round 3, in which the ball got clear of the stoppage and Dusty had the run. He looked around to see what the play was, took one look at Charlie Dixon, and went 'Yours!'

He thought he had Mitch covered if he went high, and he didn't.
