Three dads ADW super impressive and clean with limited touches. I’m not sure he’ll ever be a big ball winner but boy is he clean.

Zak Johnson in everything, reminds me a little bit of Butters in how he hunches over when he sprints, taped, skinny shoulders etc, kicks off the line. Good likeness but completely different body shape.

Maybe can be a Will Hayward type for for us. Just a high impact per possession player in the front half

half time Essendon lead by 7 after a topsy - turvy second quarter. Scrappy start and unable to capitilise on our dominance (1.6) with a slight breeze to that end.

Goldstein been very good and doing what any experienced AFL ruckman should do, teach young Sam Conway a lesson. 16 possessions 5 clearances and 17 credited hitouts.

Zak Johnson just has 'it', clean, tough, and competes. 14 possessions, 3 marks so far in first half

Setterfield (12) and Laverde (11) doing what they do, Laverde playing back, setter field tough in the clinches through the midfield

Lewis Hayes been slightly beat today, often exposed by the free flowing Weribee midfield at times. Doesn't help giving away dumb free kicks.

Archer Day - Wicks (8 possessions) been a big positive playing that high half forward role. Getting involved from half back to our 50m arc. Very impressed

Jayden Nguyễn had a couple of poor moments, taking on tacklers when first option should have been taken. Still, makes the right decisions most of the time. Skills could polish up but solid enough in D50

Alwyn Davey Jnr (5 possessions) has had a couple of positive moments, been lively in our attacking half. Would be reward if he could get on the end of 1 - 2 today

Vigo Visentini (4) & Kayle Gerryn (0) been made to work hard for possessions, Vigo got on the end of one out the back off the ground.

Rhys Unwin been hardly sighted bar one passage on the far side of the coverage.

Commentators mentioned Angus Clarke was taken off in the first quarter, no reasons stated.

So much upside in the group, seems we have picked some really clever VFL guys to build around. Hately & O'Neil very good at this level, Hoare is a mountain at the level and allows Hayes to play 2nd stringer. Sellers doing a mountain of work at CHF allowing space hopefully for Eckersley (2 goals), Gerryn and Vigo.

Would be nice to go on a run with how dominant patches we have

I tell you what the young boys are good to watch, bunch of kids with good footy iq
Seems everyone they picked last year has some sort of decent footy IQ.

I thought adw and unwin show some afl athleticism
Johnson tries to run with the footy but doesn’t defend. He will need to unlearn this or career over.
Hayes is too shakey ball in hand for mine.
Davey has no footy iq and doesn’t work hard enough for mine.
Gerryn had a mare as a lot of young key forwards do.
Visentini was poor.
Goldstein and setterfield were honest.
Nguyen is a million miles off it and may be one and done.
Sweid or el Ackter from the cannons look better prospects for mine. Jayden is honest with no tricks.
Our vfl players are bog ordinary as well.
Hately and O’Neill should have dominated in those conditions and couldn’t.

hard task master old mate

Nguyen has something, I dont lnow what it is.. yet

Hayes I can see why he is behind everyone else

Agree on Davey

Think the VFL contingent are building nicely, albeit young. McKay, Eckersley, O'Neil, Hately, Hoare

ADJ the big take away for mine
