Pretty easy fix, no VFL player can drop from VFL to 3rds level. If they want to do this they do it to their Ressies and play short.

Abers have named Jean Luc Velissaris to play thirds.

Pacco have named Mohammed Yassine to play thirds.

The EDFL, The VFL Clubs these players play for, the local players that miss out on a game or the team they are named in that will play short!

Not to mention got caught cheating in there senior women’s last week

Hasnt this has been in practice for quite a while with 4 game higher lower grade qualification. Ie 1’s player breaks hand so qualify for 2’s by putting on team sheet. Just now it includes VFL aligned player

Altona beat DP 10 out of their last 11 encounters. DPs one win over them was in the 2019 GF by 3 points.

For a VFL player to be listed at local level they need to be cleared, so obviously Williamstown have said yes we will ‘clear’ them but no they can’t play senior footy

Again a simple fix for the league just like the points system I outlined the other day

If a player plays more VFL games than games at the local club, they cannot qualify for Local Finals

Then obviously, if it is a VFL listed player, they cannot be playing or named in a 3rds team

It will still be hard to monitor clubs doing this and naming them in the 2s on the team sheet, and not even playing.

The league is weak as you know what and it is a disgrace they cannot put things in place to stop this rubbish. This A Grade comp is laughable !

Williamstown renowned for not allowing players to go play local so something dodgy going on.

I’m an EDS supporter, not sure you all should be critical of Keilor when most Prem teams are paying overs. Don’t let a good story get in the way of your own monetary mistakes.

Saying that, poor form in playing or naming able Prem players in thirds. Piss poor, hopefully the jelly backs from the EDFL will do something.

The thirds is a great concept for those who can’t train or just want to play with mates. Good income for clubs.

The EDFL is a poor representative of a local Aussie Rules Competition and needs some massive changes soon.

Would also like to know why the EDFL don’t show tribunal out comes. Don’t hide what is a major issue. You’re embarrassing yourselves EDFL once again. Old and antiquated.

And…. if you want to control player points and the embarrassing thousands of transfers each year, make it that you can only take off one player point after 3 years of service at the one club and then one every year after that.

Yep but Keilor are super professional, they also spruik how great their junior to senior setup is, if it was poor deer park that went over, they'd be starting minus 20 points, have 10 less points and 20k less salary, if they went 45k over. The league had the ability to send out a strong message to every other club, I'm still not sure why the league was only involved, all other clubs that go over are dealt with by afl victoria, it seems suss, add to the fact mick goes through media to say poor us it leaves a bad taste and the clubs that are doing the right thing, must think why even bother

The simple fix is that they have to play 4 games in the seniors at the local club. Then there's no arguments about qualification. Clubs then to decide whether they pick them.

Good response from DP, they are obviously way off Keilor, but don’t think week 1 gave them any justice it seems.

Looks like round 1 results were fine…. Seems like Keilor going to pump everyone by 100 points+ at this stage…. 200 point win over APW is outrageous.

Should of cut their cap in half and lowered their points what a joke…..
