They haven't announced them on their socials but East Sunbury's inclusions include Tom Cree (former captain, bnf winner), Lachlan Brne (former captain) and Corey Hargrave (Murrumbeena former Captain, bnf winner). Think theres a bit to like about the way the club has gone about the rebuild.

Cree is a gun. With the side that SK will run out with tomorrow I’d be surprised if East don’t win.

Rebuild if you call it that. It’s a rebuild with money and none of it is sustainable. Bandaid fix by the looks

Congrats to one of the Saints diehard supporters, Russell Dowling, on receiving Jimmy Ainsworth 25 Year Service Medal. One of the best blokes I've met in local footy.
Russel is a legend of grass roots footy, remember him doing the club stuff back at north coburg circa 05. Gem of a footy person

I can understand that, but hard to get key senior players back to the club when they hadn’t won a game for 2 years. Needed to get some hype around the club to bring back some of there gun players.

Great to see the Sunbury Kangaroos brought a petting zoo to the big day at East Sunbury today. Jumping castles, activities and even some soft Roos for the kids to laugh at!

East Sunbury didn’t just beat the Kangaroos… they turned 'em into a petting zoo, soft, slow and just there for the entertainment.

Talk of them going to the RDFNL 😂😂😂 they will lose by 30 goals each week with the rot they have at the moment.

Who from the Kangaroos hurt you brother? Lol.

Anyone know a full forward who could help Hadfield out? Heard they’re still looking out for one after Khoder Taleb abandoned them just after Xmas…nice little F.U by the Hawks.

In all seriousness, great to see Hadfield’s reserves win. Been a basket case for a long time and to knock off Northern who have won the last 2 premierships. Huge for their club.

Wow big post for week one but well done thunder

It was a great vibe at the ES vs. SK clash today. Whilst Fev was the feature, it was the depth of ES’ midfield that was the difference. Had a lot of quality strong bodies moving through. I saw it was something like 1300 days since their last win. Going to
Be a few sore heads tomorrow!

Todd Elton looked great. Sam Lockett looks to be a gun also.

East Sunbury playing on 47 points?
It says 47/50 player points, the EDFL has kept that very quiet
I have noticed this. Why should they get 4 extra points when they have gone and recruited with big money. I would be interested in their salary cap this year, there will be dodgy stuff going on everywhere. Typical EDFL up to tricks. Points for players don’t look right either as some should be higher than what they are. Needs to be argument. Good win today regardless as it’s good to see them win after bad losses for 2 years. I think they have Westy next week at Westy. Westy had a bad off day today with nothing going right and weren’t blown away being in a low gear all game. East will need to stay focused as I imagine Westy will bounce very hard. Westy defence and forward line will be a big issue for East I suspect. Midfield battle good but looks hot and Westy will be fitter. Kangas were no opposition today and will be sadly bottom 2-3

Well said about Westy, didn't get out of 1st gear. CD definitely came to play full credit to them, which absolutely smashed Westy in the middle, and they had 2 monsters down forward that did really well. Portalli was good down back some kicking by some other backs, resulting in at least 3 turnover goals that will need to be sorted.
Midfield was completely outplayed 3rd quarter CD won every centre clearance and also at the stopages resulting in so much pressure on back 6 but well played CD, Sparks was very good so was the boy from airport west name alludes me. Fwds did ok considering the way the ball was coming in over handball cooking the fwds leads, but seriously, church and Stingle needed to nail their set shots church 0.2 from 2 set shots and Stingle 1.3 from 4 sets shots normally both very accurate so both need to be better.. Besides that, Westy not smashed and have 5 to 6 to come in, including big Maynie, who will make a big difference. CD will be huge this year looking at their performance yesterday.

Not sure which players you’re referring to regarding higher points. I would only really question if Locket should be 4 not 3 and the other one would be Joel Catros who is a 1 point player yet played reserve and under19 football for Donvale (3rd Div Eastern) in 21/22/23 but played for East last year. If they are wrong, and I’m Not convinced they are, it would only add 2 points and as such would be on 49/50 so under their allotted points anyway.

Elton is a premier league star playing C grade footy. He will take the pi$$ in this division..

I watched as I’ve got some mates there and on the sidelines. That was a good snapshot into the game and accurate. Mids got pumped in the middle and across the ground like you said only in 1st or 2nd gear all game. It was unlike Westy to say the least and cannot imagine it’s dished up next week or for weeks to come. Forwards did not get any looks or supply. The backs under pressure and forwards just simply did not get the supply. Only knock I have on your response is Churchi kicked 1.1 for the day he did not kick 2 behinds like was said after kicking I think 6 straight goals the week before in a praccy game. Not much he could do with what I could see yesty and clearly a power forward of the comp. I was told Westy the week before had a few goal kickers so it’s simple to say it was just an off day yesterday but it can change very quick as they are real quality. I can be bias towards Westy with the contacts close to me but you wouldn’t want to be playing them next week I don’t think after yesterday..

I’ve been keeping an eye on Hadfield over the preseason so I decided to go down on Saturday kicking off with the reserves at 12:00 which took me by surprise taking it up to the reigning premiers with some great signs of depth, whoever that little bloke is number 61 dominated along side 36 in the long sleeves and another little runner in 35 sent the reining premiers packing with great signs for the hawks following up with the seniors with the usual suspect goden , Polizzi brothers , Reece and some new great recruits in Slavich and gooch. Andrew bever has got the hawks off to a flying start worrying signs for the saints
