What a waste of time for burnside.
They’ve came a long way and now will be starting again essentially. The outgoing president should be ashamed of himself. All he has done throughout the years is preach club first, he has put the club 20 steps backwards on his way out

Fact is BH seniors were and have been irrelevant since their inception up till last year when they were a contender. Reason they become a contender is because they attracted blokes who were good players in that comp and that comes at a price(just like any other club in every other division who win enough games to contend). So lay off the Pres and past committee , they had a go and gave the club some hope, put smiles on supporters and players faces. Now under the microscope and unwilling to pay over the Cap they will go back to being irrelevant.

Very well said. Could have been any number of the dozens of clubs in the EDFL who have paid over the cap. They just got caught. Justin was a great ambassador for that club. My respect remains.

Perhaps they should've hit Keilor up for a loan of there people and sorted out an AfterPay type arrangement.

Yep sorry, they played heathmont might have been the refreshments on a warm day mixing them up.
Hadfield was still missing a few notable players. Treamberth, both Pells, Cornwell, and a few others. Had a big older bloke up in the forward line in the last quarter that nobody recognised, he looked like a handful, and a few of their 18s running around that were quick and smart players. Could be an interesting year under the new coach.

Jon Ralph saying in Herald Sun, Pell returned to umpiring on weekend. Is he still playing or was he just helping out umpiring?

West Coburg beat Westy by 22 points in the end. Good game, WC a lot better in the midfield. Otherwise, fairly even. Having said that Westy over did it through the midfield instead of getting it in quickly and allowing the fwds to either hit up or run on otherwise would of been alot closer. Also, they just need to polish up with their kicking before 1st game, and they will be cherry ripe. I also love the ball in Evens, Hollows, and Stingle hands they just know where to be and put the ball to advantage every time they touch it. But my favourite is Danny Spencer. Every club needs one of him. Whoever is number 5 is for West Coburg, a very good player.

Haddy got done by 22 points to Romsey. No Rhys Gleisner, Godden, both Polizzi boys, Gooch and Slavich. Easily their best 6 players and their starting centre bounce players. Lots of good signs for the Hawks, should be pushing top 4.

Watched the second half of Burnside today, Albanvale with 12 new players and 4 kids who are still eligible to play 18's and zero retations in the last quarter due to injuries. Burnside had full control for the 2 quarters i watched. Burnside's number 40 was super clean and bloody quick, 35 down back was the general and controlled just everything heading out the backline. Long year ahead for Albanvale.

Mate no one is at full strength in the practice matches particularly the last one. Romsey should account for Hadfield anyhow I would think. But good to see Haddy doing well and things obviously looking up.

The Romsey coach didn’t say that . Romsey had 6-8 of their starting 18 out including Rayment and Jedwab. Both would have an impact in most games they play . Regardless of who was full strength and who wasn’t it was a good day . I think both clubs would have got something out of it and not been disappointed.
Good effort by the umpire who ran out 10 quarters on his own .
