Westy definitely favourites with the returning recruits. Rupo will be strong and Hawks and Lions improvers.

Bears have lost their forwards so they’ll drop. Similar with Saints.

The rest will be competitive at times but off the pace.

Which forwards did the bears lose?
Hovey & Gregson?

Neither have re-signed. Between them they kicked around 100 goals. They are strong everywhere else so it will be interesting to see how they cover the losses.

I haven’t noticed them sign anywhere else at this point so will be interesting to see what happens

Anyone caught any sides during pre season training? How is ES going with Fev, Elton, Lees have they been down? Not much on socials video wise from anyone. I did in fact catch some of Westmeadows as I was late working in the area. I will say boy do they look fit and looks like they have a fitness coach taking running sessions. Scary stuff. Did not look like many on sidelines. All Epping boys training and my good mate Church was running hard and doing skills. Might be the sleeping giant no one expects and looks pretty fit already

Shannon Carroll has our lads putting in the hard yards at Boardman. We’ve also had the 17.5 boys training with the seniors as well and they seem to be loving it. It’s about time our club becomes one and isn’t divided. Lots of new faces in the seniors tho, no idea who’s who as they haven’t been announced on socials. Can’t wait for the season to start should be a good year for all clubs hopefully.

Don’t know how true it is, but heard a few rumours ES got another big signing coming up!

I’ve heard the same. The talk around town is Specialized Plumbing is paying for it all. $[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]],[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]] sign on fee for Elton!

Just read a nice article regarding a new team Hume Bombers looking to start an open age men’s team next year, most likely on Friday nights in the div 2 EDFL thirds competition. It’s nice to see a club expand fairly quickly especially in a suburb that’s probably more dominated by cricket and soccer players. Good on them for wanting to have a go
