Regardless of the outcome of this particular injury, does this just highlight Krueger even further as a potential MSD selection? (Assuming NK is still fit at the time of the draft).

Just a thought because in surfing everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) is tuned into an athlete's personal style and feels but has anyone looked into whether Dan's footwear has altered since his time at Brisbane? The wrong shoes can make an immense difference to injury prevention. I know footy clubs have contracts with companies but if a bloke has had 3 knee probs in 2 years, maybe it's his footwear?

Players can wear whatever footy boots they want. Only the kit is under contract.

He clipped the heels of the guy in front of him and tripped..that's the reason he fell down. In the process of stabilising himself from the fall his left leg went out in front of him and braced on that leg. That's where the injury happened. Very lucky to escape with an MCL tbh. It looked more like an ACL mechanism.
Great news in my view.

Is it the same knee as 2023 or the one from preseason last year where he did the ACL?

Glad it’s not long term. Mentally would be pretty tough on him to have to go through that again.

You know he’ll do everything he can with his rehab. Was amazing he managed to play some footy last year after the ACL.

And this was his right? So same injury again to that knee.

Ok thanks

The ACL knee now has an MCL. And other knee previously had the MCL in the 2023 prelim but no issues since.

I know he didn’t injure this whilst rucking, but I can’t think someone with his history should be rucking now. Not sure it will have helped. But can’t carry Cox at the expense of someone else, just to have him as a second ruckman.
