We don’t make it to the GF without him. Involved in so many goals and so important structurally in the two games prior. I agree though it doesn’t end our chances if he’s out for the season because we have flexibility with Cox and Membrey but I think in 2023 we wouldn’t have been able to replace him outside of GF day where Fly had to pull one of the craziest move playing Frampton as a defensive tagging FF, which we would not replicate under any other circumstance or vs any other team.

Why would we want West to come in beyond already forming some weird parasocial relationship to him off the back of some good VFL performances? Someone needs to second ruck while McStay is out and it can't be Mihocek. West isn't going to be that, he'll be torn to shreds.

His repeat absences haven’t stopped us previously. Unsure why he’s suddenly our second most critical player structurally. Certainly wasn’t today

he's a cherry on top kind of player if you can get him firing thats fantastic but he complements a great team isn't super critical though it is a shame as he was in some really solid form
