Byrne-Jones comes straight back into the side, no doubt.
Cockers or Berry have to make way.

Spot on, we always roll on from the last week.We will start this match exactly the same way we finished against Hawthorn.

probably doesn't fit into the players' work/life balance requirements and the AFLPA-mandated limit of 16 contact hours per week at the club.Another side note I want to make, I looked at training times at Alberton this week. It's all 7am to 12pm.
If we play Sydney at 3pm, shouldn't we be training like 1pm to 6pm? Surely that gets the boys in a rhythm during the week on what time of the day to perform?

Why is Willie out?Rioli out so Berry holds spot. Dbj straight back.

Throw Will Lorenz into that mix.I don't mind the idea of Cochrane, Moraes and Berry rotating in and out of the match day 23. It's a long year for the newbies. Happy if they play around 2/3 of the season each...
Why is Willie out?
100% agree. However I don't want to see him anywhere near our defence like some are suggesting here!Byrne-Jones was our most potent forward last season. He's easily best 18.
Better than Georgiades and Rioli?Byrne-Jones was our most potent forward last season. He's easily best 18.
We have also been missing Melican, McDonald, McInerney and Fox which makes 10 of last year's best 23, so we are limping into this one. After watching what you did to Hawthorn I just hope we can put up a fight.Sydney have got a few good players out at the moment… Amartey, Gulden, Papley, Cunningham, Adams, and Mills.
They have a couple of extra days off (playing Friday)
Will be interesting who turns up for us…
We can only beat good sides, when there is an emotional motivation, 'do it for daddy' attitude. We have also been missing Melican, McDonald, McInerney and Fox which makes 10 of last year's best 23, so we are limping into this one. I know nothing about this kid. What is he like? What type of player int eh current AFL does his game best mirror? If he is any good, who would he replace in our current 23?Give Lorenz 3 consecutive games not starting as sub.
The new draftees have pretty much gone past the previous two intakes.Actually not sure why people are talking about Lorenz. He's a delist for mine.
After doing similar to the Swans last year, Port were quite poor against a terrible Dees side.We have also been missing Melican, McDonald, McInerney and Fox which makes 10 of last year's best 23, so we are limping into this one.
