Sydney is going to spank us in Sydney unless something dramatic changes between now and then, and considering we have been putting out the same sort of matches for 4 weeks now I have low expectations.

Its a rough run from the Tigers game to the North game.
I also have low expectations for the Sydney game and think they will beat us, probably beat us well. But I believe we have no choice but to treat it as a high stakes game now. No folding over like a camping chair ala the NT match.

I don't mind two huge games at the G against Essendon and Carlton. Our season will be revived or over. They are still winnable games and if we DID win them, things are back on track.

If Dempsey is managed surely Mannagh comes in for him before Knevitt.

In the VFL Knevitt plays between the wing & guts, while Mannagh has basically been starting as a permanent small forward that then works up the ground

Knevitt as a direct swap for Dempsey does make some sense

I don't think Dangerfield was the main reason we were winning but he was an important part of it. Our midfield is toothless without him. One player can make a difference. As I said before, throw Horne-Francis into our midfield and it changes everything. Well maybe not everything but it makes a considerable difference.

JHF has Rozee, Butters and Drew alongside him. Throw him in with Atkins, Parfitt and Clark and he wouldn’t have half the impact.

MC rarely does straight swaps. Last week we brought in Hawkins, Cameron, Duncan and De Koning for Parfitt, O’Connor, Rohan. If we manage/omit Dempsey I’d think O’Connor would be first in line, despite their different roles/styles, and we’d just shuffle the magnets around.

I know there were some questioning if Jhye Clark was classy last week.
That would be me.
I said that I wouldn’t use that term to describe him.
(splitting hairs-I know)
Doesn’t mean he was not a good player in the making, or lacked vision etc.
I am just uneasy with people using that term too often to describe players, particularly so early in their career. It gets thrown around in the media as well.
But that is just me and the concept of ‘classiness’ is clearly subjective.
A ‘classy’ player for me might be a Pendlebury or perhaps Daicos ( yikes! both Collingwood) Robbie flower, Keith Greig etc Guys who can(could) do things consistently, with poise and a degree of inherent aesthetics sometimes without apparent effort.
Clark may indeed get to a point where he deserves that description, but not yet.
(BTW if he keeps showing that kind of vision, then he is well on the way)

Cheers
That was my logic as well - plus Knevitt is a similar marking option.

Was me as well. He is not that type of player

I think Sydney was always going to spank us in sydney. The Port loss is the one that hurt
