Nah nothing against the players what so ever, they can’t control it.
Um.. No.
You'd be surprised how much say Kohli, for example has. Also Rohit Sharma had a big say in pitches and preparation.
So.. yeah. **** the players too

What sort of early summer english pitch could they really make that gives india a clear edge over us anyway? neither side is great in normal english conditions with india probably being bit better side last decade, both sides have quality quicks and batsmen that can struggle vs swing so any deck they produce either flatter or green tinged wont give either side a big edge.
Exactly, which is why i would love the final to always been in England. Just less chance of dodgy shit happening.

A big * you to India, for ruining what should've been one of the best Test series in years.

Selecting the last pitch purely to prevent the chance of us squaring up the series is a disgrace - the players should be ashamed of themselves for winning the series under such pathetic, contrived circumstances.

it’s tantamount to ball tampering…..it’s match fixing in the most blatant manner.

Series could've been so much better, first 3 tests the pitches were just too wild, made it almost a lottery, India faired better but with out lack of prep, we were always going to struggle early into the series, the 3rd test showed that as we looked much better. The pitch for this last test was a disgrace though, what a poor representation of a format which really needs everything going for it to remain, although as it stands, only a few nations will play in a the long term future anyway.

Brilliant by Ussie to beat India on their pitches.
Cam Green deserves special mention for his debut Test century.

Don't excited about runs on this road, Khawaja scored 153 runs at 25.5 leading into the 4th Test.

25.5 is like 60 on those s**t pitches
Had 81 in Dehli and then 60 at Indore which was double the next highest score after 1st innings..

It's ridiculous to put an asterisk against his performances by saying his score on the 4th test road propped up his performances, but then not take into account the pitch when he scored "poorly" in the first 3 tests.

Same with Handscomb. Handscomb had a 72* in the 2nd test and most importantly, batted for time facing 111 balls in Indore allowing us to build a vital lead in the 1st innings with Green.

Would have wanted a century from him. Can green and ussie cashed in
I thought the 49 in the first test stuffed him up a bit...if he would of got that extra single things might of been different

Thought that he got himself out rather than the bowler in the series...I know that sounds strange but he seemed to be very annoyed with himself and the pitches every time he got out....

I wouldn't worry though still expecting him to have a big Ashes tour

For me the best looking batter for us in the series and who looked the most comfortable was greenie

yes before you say I am a big green lover...I know....but greenie looked good out there compared to the others who had to graft for there runs

Overall not a terrible result. Survived some mine fields in the first two games, took a good win and filled our boots in an easy draw in the last to bump up the records of some deserving batsmen in Ussy, Head and Green. The only real failure is that second test which we had an opportunity to win if we didn't shit the bed. Does this series go down as a missed opportunity, maybe, but we've had worse.

Many would have taken a 2-1 loss anyway it's one of our best results ever and that's despite the selectors acting like buffoons when selecting the squad and having a prep that was no better than a u12's season.

I know we are going with what if's but had Green been fit we win one of the first two tests imo. Was a key loss.

A fast bowling allrounder would have won us one of the first 2 Tests?

Yea ok.. lol

He's our second or third best bat in these conditions as we saw in the last two tests.
