Changing tack entirely. Thoughts on Kelly Underwood as a caller.

For mine - I do enjoy her commentary. Provides good visual picture (on radio) of what is happening on field. Leaves
many of TV commentators for dead.

On iPhone using BigFooty.com mobile app

She’s more suited to radio then tv IMO

There’s plenty worse than her

Watching Footy Classified and Craig Hutchison says Sunday night footy should be scheduled at Optus Stadium every week.

He doesn't want it in Melbourne because no-one wants to go to the footy on a Sunday night, but reckons West Coast and Freo fans should have to each week so the Melbournians can watch it on TV.

He wants it to start after 5pm Perth time, which would be 'perfect' for Melbourne.

Most of the panel were agreeing with him.

Bunch of Melbounre-centric tossers.
Judd shuts down Hutchy just about every time he says something. Hutch has absolutely no idea, just trying to get attention. “Wouldn’t pay big money for one of the best backmen in the game” “play all games on a Sunday in Perth”

Edit: Also hate how little these talk shows spend time reviewing our games (or any non vic for that matter) compared to other Victorian teams.

Two up on the club site/app. Waterman And Venables. Probably still working with Ryan’s confidence in front of the camera, which is fair enough.
Yeah, no surprise with that, he was the only player we took in the ND that never had a "press conference". Figured that he may have been a little uncomfortable in front of the camera/media. Perhaps he/the club may also wanted to avoided questions about his off-field issues in 2016. Already spoke about it in an online article, but speaking to the media is a entirely different experience. Not expecting too much, but kinda hope that he comes out of his shell a bit as time goes on, but obviously not the most important thing.

I think he’s getting more comfortable though, I noticed last week or the week before the club put up a couple of posts on social media asking fans to send in questions for any player they want and uploaded a few players photos (I’m guessing for Eagle Vision) Ryan was amongst the photos, so I’m guessing we’ll hear from him that way to begin with. Seems comfortable around the lads though, which is more important.

Useless mother******* TV stations going to be having our game on a 3 hour ******* delay on FTA. Going to be at a family members place with **** all going on for easter and the game will be finished before we get to see the start.

**** you channel 7 and **** you foxtel.
FFS i just saw this as well, what the hell? Are we going back to the mid 90's of delays? In a world of fast paced coverage why are we on a 3hr delay? What a joke! Time to hit up a pub to watch the game i suppose, or try and find a mate with Fox! Ill bring the beers!

$90 a year for an AFL live pass, it's good value for what it is

There ought to be a football analysis program that focuses on WA, SA, NSW and Qld sides as a counter point. The Vics simply don't understand that it's a national competition and that the world doesn't revolve around them.

It would be nice if there was actually analysis as well, rather than the usual personality parade.

If you want to watch footy you NEED Foxtel.
There is a reason they pay a billion+ for the rights.
Just get basic package and sport only for the season and cancel at the end of the footy season.

It would be good if you could Chromecast fox as you could take it and watch it anywhere, but alas Fox don't allow chromecast as they would prefer you pay for another box.

Oh really? Can anyone confirm this is the case? It wouldn't surprise me if that was the case, heaven forbid the AFL makes it easy for us.

I dont think the cromecast device works with the AFL live app though...

Takes a little bit of tweaking but it is possible

Chromecast can be used for Foxtel. Recently enabled.

AFL app is a no-no for any sort of second screen. You also can't watch Fox Footy on a PC.

No Foxtel have the rights to display on a full screen. The Telstra app only allows up to a 7 inch display, maybe up to 10 inch.
If you do put it on your tv it will still be the same size as on your smart device.
Channel 7 paid millions to have a few games a week full of ad's and the grand final, also full of ad's.

Is the tweaking the same for all devices and tvs?

I did it last year, from memory you need to open the chromescast app on your phone but not cast yet, then go to the AFL app and start live video for a game, then without killing your live stream switch to the chromecast app and conenct it to your TV to cast your screen to there

It's a bit of a root around but it does work.

By the looks of things it only works on Foxtel now not normal IQ foxtel with a box.
Once again they would prefer you to buy another multiroom box.

Same sort of thing as comedy and SyFy being in the Lifestyle package instead of entertainment package, they want you to buy and spend more. It sux but if you want the best experience and picture you have to go with it.
BTW foxtel now only displays in 720p not 1080p as with the normal Foxtel box. Oh and also Foxtel now doesn't support CC or subtitles for those that need it.

I swore i'd never pay fox to watch sport but then all the good sports i followed (AFL, F1, MotoGP etc) all got reduced or taken off free to air, so i bit the bullet and paid the $50 a month for the sport package. Now i dont watch free to air ever and consequently have not had to suffer through one second of reality tv bullshit which floods free to air. Best decision i ever made. :thumbsu:
