I think we are reaching the point (and much earlier in the season than i expected) where the Victorians go from being gleeful about us losing to aggro about us getting an early draft pick and maybe a PP package to go with it. And they are start arguing that we are not as bad as they have been saying we are to make an argument against any AFL assistance.

Pretty sure we were powerless when attempting to rebuilt in a draft where our second natural pick stood at 30..

AFL assistance/“compensation” to Northern Academy teams and teams on the wrong end of FA have clearly stunted any chance of a natural rebuild so why can’t those struggling, for many years, also have some assistance too? Particularly when a precedent has been set?

Completely expecting to get knocked back though.

What have we done. We're not a VFL beggar club thats what we've done.

We absolutely need to put our cade forward for Priority picks.

We should push for 2 additional end of round 1 picks at bare minimum.

So he should really be rallying to have compo/priority picks removed altogether instead of saying some clubs should be allowed them whilst others not based on his arbitrary view of whose at fault for their ladder position?

Damo has been consistent on being against priority picks, but his argument against it is flawed in the sense of every club that is bad becomes bad primarily due to their own poor decisions.
