Autopsy Autopsy vs Suns, Rd 3 - it's a DEE-SASTER

We’re cooked. We can’t get rid of Goodwin quick enough. But feel they’ll wait until Smith is in the chair. Although I’m sure he can consult on the matter.
The simple skills errors are just unbelievable. The place needs a shake up.
Langford the only positive today. What a player he looks.

Dunno if anyone saw Trac on the siren on his haunches. Bloke looked absolutely shattered and the like the reality the season might be over already had hit him. I actually felt bad for the campaigner.

Wouldn't blame the bloke for requesting a trade end of year.

Wont be going anywhere, he was doing that because he cares and he bleeds red & blue, he's a champion footballer and they give everything they have, he was mentally & physically exhausted and disappointed, its what I would expect from someone like him and nothing less.

Yes that's true Topkent, but that was pretty much down to not feeling supported enough in the aftermath of life-threatening injuries he sustained against the Pies on the kings birthday. He was angry, livid and p*ssed off, but like most people after a few days he calmed down a bit and he issued a statement via the club where he reaffirmed his commitment to the club.

That literally didn't happen for months. Don't know if you actually paid as much attention as dees fans, he didn't mention the club for a very long time and actively tried to get out last trade period.

Yes I'm aware of that, why do you think he's still at Melbourne? Loves football? Doesn't want to take a break? If he really wanted to go, I mean 100%, no matter what he had to do he wouldn't be there, I've heard over the last couple of years that the so called culture at Melbourne isn't where it should be, I think even Christian may have said something along those lines, what is your take on this?

I don't know I only go off what I've heard but it sounds like tracs family completely blame Melbourne for him nearly dying and probably fair enough too and they have lost all trust in the club. He's a big family man.
Probably where this whole love bullshit mantra has come from to try and brainwash tracs family into keeping him here

I don't think they want him at Melbourne anymore, and I think that near career ending injury for him probably made him reevaluate how much money he wants to make from the game and potentially explore a move to another club with a bigger fan base and market.

I don't blame him. He's a top 5 player in the game and our system holds him back from potentially winning brownlows and even another norm Smith because we aren't making a GF anytime soon

Would actually like to see them post their opinions here. It's a bit of an echo chamber of Goody hate, world be good to get neutral opinions.
Can we just have Kozzie now please
Don’t think you’ll need him for a while

Choosing between Melbourne or Freo, he should probably just retire for his own sake.

I've been going to Dees games at the G seriously for about 30 years (not counting going a bit as a little kid).

I've never left 'early'. Even during the horrendous times of 2007-2016 or so, I just couldn't do it. I'd often walk out straight after the siren, but never actually early.

Left half way during the last today for the first time ever. It honestly just felt like the club did not deserve to have any fans there. They didn't deserve to have people buy memberships, pay for tickets etc and come to watch that.

The weird thing was - It was felt right from the start of the game. The groans were coming from the stands within about 2 minutes of the first bounce and didn't stop.

Don't even know where to start with that game. There's just so many issues everywhere.

Welcome to the journey towards improved mental health. You have correctly analysed that staying to the end of a belting will do nothing but exacerbate the pain. If your journey is anything like mine your next steps may include:
1. sitting by yourself as far away from any living soul at the ground.
Pros - your mood is not amplified by any friends or loved ones absolutely melting at what they’re watching.
Cons - you don’t find out whether your aunt enjoyed your second cousins fourth child’s baby shower.
2. Wearing headphones/ ear pods to block out crowd noise/ opposition jeering. Pro tip - listen to thrash metal instead of a call of the game.
Pros - good to feel by CANDY is a banger of an album
Cons - you may miss some witty heckling from drunk collingwood supporters as you walk out of the monarchs birthday game
3. Arriving late to games.
Pros - you don’t feel the hope of maybe today will be different.
Cons - you don’t feel the crushing despair of that hope evaporating within the first two minutes of the game. Also 15 missed calls from your aunt wondering where you are so she can tell you about your second cousins fourth child’s baby shower.
4. Changing your focus for the day from enjoying a game of football to getting as inebriated as possible as quickly as possible.
Pros - the selection of drinks in the mcc has improved. You can bring cans to your seat.
Cons - the drinks are $15 and with the tolerance you build up over the season you will be looking at $200+ and cannot physically drink the amount needed in the space of a game.
5. Not attending games.
Pros - not sure, haven’t tried this yet.
Cons - your aunt will call you during the week to tell you about your second cousins fourth child’s baby shower. this may ruin a perfectly good non-football day.

Edit - someone with time - feel free to add this to the simpsons frozen yoghurt meme template.

"The first half was a good game of footy" according to Max (and very likely the coach)... haha, it was so boring that it made me go and mow the lawns for the 3rd quarter. Still so far from reality this club.

Club is delusional. 2 goals in a half is considered good? 3 goals down at home against a team that never win in Melbourne. Lol

It's performances (as a whole i might add, not entirely on Christian) ,like today that actually make me think Trac won't be here at the start of the next season.
Sure he said he's invested in the club and wants to stay but I just can't see why he would after the start of this year.
2x subpar crowds don't help either. (He wants the Big stage, Bright lights, which we can't give him)

I'll belive it when I see it. (Trac lining up next season in the centre) till then he's gone.
Why would we keep him now?

Tim Lamb has handed Essendon a top 4 pick. Possibly top 2 in the last uncompromised draft before Tas enters. We're gonna have to have a fire sale now to bring in picks. Trac, Oliver, May, Lever, Langdon, Viney, Max. None of these guys will be around at our (potential) next Tilt. Gotta sell a few of these pieces and get some top end picks for a hard rebuild. I love Koz, love Trac, love May and would love a redemption story for Clarry at the Dees, but it's time now to sell. Stupid me went into this season quite positive. Only took 3 games to tear that down. I can get behind a full rebuild, not whatever this is.

I feel your pain Dees fans !

You kind of need to have a strong sense of humour to go through these lean times as a footy fan!

I reckon it may only be 2 more bad losses for The Dees and the coaching situation becomes untenable and Goodwin will fall on his sword/walks.

Gawn is now 100% part of the problem

"first half was a good game of football we thought, and gave ourselves a shot at half time"

"we get a chance to put on the hard yards this week and put in a big performance next week"

"as much as I would love to be winning, I love the adversity we're in and the challenge we have, and I love to do it with this group"

Absolutely brainwashed.

#love
