To answer your question Daemon; from the outside looking in, I really believe your list has an enormous amount of talent. Looks like the coach has lost the players though, and they aren't playing with any belief in the system.

These are all professionals who even after 4+ pre-seasons are not executing basic skills that really concerns me.

The totally bananas communication your coach/club comes up with would drive me absolutely insane.

I did note that Goodwin’s new wife is a corporate marketing/brand executive which seems a bit like a hopeless drug addict marrying their dealer.

Agree. That wasn't that bad actually.
I was just sipping my beer, totally relaxed as everything was quite clear in the first 10-15 minutes. No expectations, all calm and quiet.

What a diabolical list management decision to not let Viney walk to North. We now have two mids who can only play the one position & are getting pantsed every week playing said position. I don't care how much they are being paid or how long their contract is but playing Oliver & Viney in the same team is a bad decision & one of them needs to be dropped.

List management has been the #2 main issue behind Goodwin. Some mindboggling mismanagement and lack of ability to secure any talent.

I've been going to Dees games at the G seriously for about 30 years (not counting going a bit as a little kid).

I've never left 'early'. Even during the horrendous times of 2007-2016 or so, I just couldn't do it. I'd often walk out straight after the siren, but never actually early.

Left half way during the last today for the first time ever. It honestly just felt like the club did not deserve to have any fans there. They didn't deserve to have people buy memberships, pay for tickets etc and come to watch that.

The weird thing was - It was felt right from the start of the game. The groans were coming from the stands within about 2 minutes of the first bounce and didn't stop.

Don't even know where to start with that game. There's just so many issues everywhere.

What was truly remarkable about that game was Gold Coast were really pretty ordinary.
