First half they were trialling that HTB rule constantly and seemed to pay free kicks to both sides there. I didn’t see anything really bad there.

That contest where they paid those 2 Bulldogs frees leading to goals were terrible though. Not because they were not there but mostly because there were frees to the other side not paid in that moment of play. Shouldn’t be happening this late in the match.
You are absolutely delusional.

2 tackles and 24 pressure acts. He runs both ways
Only one of the three covered 15km+ thanks to defensive running, and it wasn't Daicos or the Bont. Tackling is but one measure.

That non call on Daicos was costly , instead of going two goals up, Collingwood get the next two. Possibly the worst umpiring call for the year. There are 3 umpires out there and not one of them deemed it a free. Outrageous.

What's even more outrageous is there are 4 umpires out there and not one of them deemed it a free.

Libba, Ed Richards, Naughton and Weightman might have something to say about that.
Your structure was not altered in the slightest. You replaced a tall with a tall and a smalls with smalls. We were missing our three tall forwards and had to move a full back up front to have just one tall forward. Our forward line had no aerial targets most of the night so we couldn't bomb it in as your mob had the luxury of doing. Maynard on Lobb. Howe or Dean on Darcy? They were giving away ten or more centimetres!

Talls vs smalls. You had the advantage of foot speed as we were missing Richards, Weightman, Smith, Johannisen, Vandermeer but still couldn’t capitalise. The main reason we had to bomb it was we didn’t have our runners for the overlaps and rebounds, Bailey Dale was our only real outlet. Our talls capitalised in the air, your smalls didn’t on the ground

Your kidding. Mitchell is very good when fit. He was one of the reasons why we were premiers last year. He was perfect for our team, was close to best in the grand final and was very good through out the year. When he gets banged up he struggles as he did in patches but he is elite when fit.
Murphy is retired but it's an injury retirement so I'm counting him as an injury (why not) It would be nice to have him if he wasn't and he is still listed. Sure we can't play him but he would be clear best 23.
Richards looks good and I agree on McInnes.
Sure, but if a player is retired, he’s not counted in your ‘outs’.

Missing Libba, Richards and Naughton is pretty big, but Collingwood have a higher number out. I think this was a pretty good win because of the in game injuries, but the fact Collingwood were so close would cause some review at WO this weekend.
Not about how many out it's who is out. If it's a whole bunch of role players than they can be covered. The tipping point was Pendles and Mihochek. Both very important players to the system. Up till this weekend I wasn't buying the injury curse the media was highlighting. They played a role last night yes and could for the next couple of weeks.

Blues are an example of a team with alot of injuries but none to their absolute key players.

Best 23 all who can impact imo:

Pendles
DeGoey
Mitchell
Mihocek
McStay
Elliott
Murphy
WHE
Cox

Plus useful fillers
Richards (been amazing)
McInnes (almost 2 goals a game)
First 4 and Elliott I agree. The others can be covered. LOL @ throwing in Richards and McInnes in there. I'll throw in Will Macabe for us if we're going to compare injured depth players.

More Blues supporters in this thread than Dogs and Pies supporters combined.
Sounds like the supporters of those respective teams need to lift their game then!

Imagine playing a team missing 5 of their best 10 players and rolling out the injury excuse when you lose.

Was amazing seeing the commentators discuss Collingwood's injuries for the 3000th time as the cameras showed Libba, Naughton, Richards and Weightman in the stands (no sign of Smith or Johannisen).

Also the Dogs being down 2 players early was glossed over pretty quick wasn't it.
