You are saying with a straight face that Tom Liberatore is not a “good” player? And don’t try to introduce “superstar” into the discussion because that’s not how you originally stated it.

Don’t bother with him. Libba should have been AA last year. Is a gun.

I'd count 5 maybe 6 missing From the best 22 from Collingwood that could have impacted the result. Dogs were missing quite a few too plus were 2 men down early in the game. This just shows the dogs have slightly better depth than Collingwood. There 2s are undefeated so the squad bats pretty deep.

Missing Libba, Richards and Naughton is pretty big, but Collingwood have a higher number out. I think this was a pretty good win because of the in game injuries, but the fact Collingwood were so close would cause some review at WO this weekend.

A good win for the Dogs but they couldn't have played the Pies at a better time, they had about half their VFL side out there.
A bad loss for the Pies they couldn't have played the Dogs at a better time, they had about half their VFL side out there and lost 2 before half time.

Best 23 all who can impact imo:

Pendles
DeGoey
Mitchell
Mihocek
McStay
Elliott
Murphy
WHE
Cox

Plus useful fillers
Richards (been amazing)
McInnes (almost 2 goals a game)

(lost mid-game so a more significant impact)

Coffield, Scott, Gardner "useful fillers"

Brave of Collingwood to even show up tonight it seems

Wouldn't have Mitchell in your best side, Murphy is retired so can't count him

Richards looks comfortable at the level, McInnes much better than Johnson

Yeah agree you are down alot as well. We have another 4-5 injured I didn't name because they are VFL quality, but who knows they might have gotten a game if fit. I was just responding to someone who said the Pies only has 5-6 players who were missing that can impact. It's closer to 10 imo.

Your kidding. Mitchell is very good when fit. He was one of the reasons why we were premiers last year. He was perfect for our team, was close to best in the grand final and was very good through out the year. When he gets banged up he struggles as he did in patches but he is elite when fit.
Murphy is retired but it's an injury retirement so I'm counting him as an injury (why not) It would be nice to have him if he wasn't and he is still listed. Sure we can't play him but he would be clear best 23.
Richards looks good and I agree on McInnes.

I'm sure he will still contribute somewhat when fit, I just think you have better options through the middle

It's unfortunate, but you just can't count him, he isn't returning and you opened up a spot on your list to replace him
