Lions deserve to go favourites for the game but Cats will be an uncomfortable match up for the lions, winner will be the team who takes their chances in front of goal...

Cats have been hyped off the planet. For goodness sake, they beat Collingwood last game. The Lions on the other hand comfortably beat Richmond. If they were racehorses and we were doing the form, Geelong, who won a mid week Welter at Sandown would be 16-1 and Brisbane, who won a Group One event at Caulfield would be odds on.

Can't pick this at all. Cats at their absolute best can be unstoppable and crush opponents with high scoring and defensively sound footy. But they don't reach that level as often as they can.

Brisbane are riding their best ever chance at another flag, they'll never play another season and final series at home with their opponents away in a hub for 3 and and half months. They have the same hunger and momentum that I've seen in Richmond 17 after knocking off a bogey team.

It will be a fascinating match but with no confidence I'm going Lions by 8 points.

It’s called recency bias

Good luck to both teams!

All I hope for is that whoever wins tonight makes next weeks GF a close one. Nothing worse than a one sided GF unless you are a fan of the team on the right side of things. It is going to take a mammoth effort from whoever wins tonight to beat the Tigers next week.

We managed it last year with a younger list and without 4 time premiership player Birchall and 2015 #8 pick Ah Chee in our side.

Last year Brisbane went out in straight sets so it didn't count for much. Showed they weren't on the level of other sides in the top 4 (or a 13 win GWS side).

Looking forward to a bruising four quarters plus extra time with plenty of spotfires and punch ons everywhere.

May the team with the most looming suspensions win.

This was me last week going into the Geelong v Collingwood game. Was hoping the winner would turn up at the Gabba tonight on one leg. Oh well.

Reports that Darcy Gardiner could be a late out, Jack Payne to come in.

Im a little concerned that we went game, bye, game, bye and now game...Could hurt us or could give us more energy? Who knows, the game does weird things.

Darcy out though will be a massive headache, hes underrated but so damn important for our defense...

They'd have been training and managing the load to get the work in, as well as handling and kicking the footy. Sports science these days is so advanced I don't think a week off between the QF and this will matter, it's not like they'd have forgotten how to play footy or be rusty.
