I am not a peanut and resent your abuse.

The response to obvious humour, had he bother to read it , demonstrated he was being foolish, hence fool.
When next week rolls around we indeed play against the Crows he is welcome to post as much as he likes.
People who do not read the whole thread and then post out of context open themselves to ridicule. Lazy fools.

There is no embargo on discussing the upcoming match against Adelaide, there is nothing to discuss regarding the bye (apart form having a bit of fun) so I expect to see plenty of posts in here this week about the Crows match. I can't see what the Adelaide Crows poster has done wrong.

Some people really take themselves a bit too seriously. He's right. You are a peanut. Who really cares about a bye. Those with a modicum of intelligence knew what I was talking about - the next game for both teams. The stuff about the bye, you guys can have as much fun as you like on your own board, I was just talking about the next game, and didn't deserve your abusive response. The 2 Hawks board posters who called you out were spot on. Loosen up FFS.
OK mate settle down. You say some people take themselves a bit seriously but here you are trying to pass off a flippant post jokingly calling you a fool as "abusive".
Please, by all means discuss the upcoming game but don't be a drama queen.

Your reply clearly indicated you took offence at my comments about not being able to field a side. If you had any intelligence and possessed the ability to read you would have comprehended I was referring to the bye and not the Crows. It is you my foolish foe who is taking their footy and themselves too seriously.
This is our board it will pay you to be polite to the locals, if you do not like how you are treated here, there is the door FOOL.

Thanks for the rational and intelligent response mate. It's easy to sit back and slag off at another team's poster on your own board like you're some tough guy. As a few have done here by default. I did nothing wrong by my initial post, my intention was always to discuss the upcoming game with a few of you guys. Anyone trying to prove otherwise is not worth replying to.

I will paraphrase, "but we get all our good players back by the next game, nearly at full strength."

He jumped in to defend his Club when clearly there was no need, I didn't and do not give a FF about the Crows this week, hence fool.

No way we can't get it done this week, only way we can lose is if the boys chose not to turn up. The other mob struggle to field a team.

Last week we got Sloane back, by this game we will get Douglas, Henderson, Lever, possibly Brad Crouch (first AFL game this year) back too. Only best 22 players still out are Kerridge and Jaensch (ACL). Near full strength.

We play the bye this week fool.

No offence, mate, but the title of the thread is "vs The Bye then vs The Crows"

Given that you didn't make any indication whatsoever that you were talking about the bye, you can forgive someone for misunderstanding you, but instead you went straight to insults.

I thought on first reading that you were talking about the crows too, "this week" is a transitive proposition and your statement was ambiguous.

Now walk it off before you make yourself look even more foolish than you already do.

Should have a full list (or pretty close to) to choose from so no excuses. Hate playing interstate though. Adelaide are quality on their day and it will probably take close to our best for a win

In: Birchall and Poppy
Out: Litherland and either Schoey or Suckers depending on match-ups

Langford could possibly come in but hasn't really been great this year imo and wouldn't know who would come out at this stage

Hi guys,

Wasn't totally sure where to post this but here seems appropriate. With the bye this week I have decided to do a report card style review of Hawthorn's season on my blog. It's just a brief summation of the positive and negatives, looking at a few specific players too. So if you have a few minutes to kill and want to check it out then that would be great (even if you don't, just opening the link will help me out as another 'view'). - http://www.fansunite.com.au/2015/06/09/12461/afl-mid-season-report-card-hawthorn

Hopefully we'll be fired up after the bye and can put the Crows away. Beating them over there last season was a really big effort from us, it was a pivotal win in our season I think. Let's hope we can repeat it.
excellent write up - and thread worthy

Have we ever played on a Thursday before ?
**** no:( I've loathed our fixture this year... What's happened to our Friday night games I 'be missed them so much.. Bad pizza and watching us do our thang and winning before all the other games start... Oh well let's go wild and do it on thurs...

With no work on Friday I'll be one of the few able to cut loose on Thursday eve. I just hope I'm having celebratory rather than commiseratory drinks after the game. I'm quite excited for the Thursday game but not sure I would be so impressed if I had work the next day, the AFL must surely recognise fixturing games on a school night will limit attendance. I know a "change is as good as a holiday" but we just had a short holiday, too.

Thank you so much for your support Blaze; you will see the underlined for the important information, this week does not mean next week and if that very simple piece of information cannot be interpreted along with several earlier posts invoking the same sort of humour, then I call fool. If I don't get something and I am called for it, I cop it between the eyes.
I may be an arseh*le and I never suffer fools gladly but I called a spade a spade, the chappy from Adelaide can take it as a lesson in the importance of reading carefully as can anyone else who has trouble with comprehension, the humour relied on the fact we were not playing this week FFS.

Seriously, I also thought at first you were talking about the match against Adelaide and I had read the whole thread. It's also not a crime not to read the whole thread. Correct him fair enough but calling him a fool and the bagging he has copped since then (not only from you), well is it really necessary? Honestly, this place gets more like Bay 13 everyday. I don't like opposition fans coming in here trolling but when someone post news on injuries, ins and outs etc. surely that should be welcomed.

No it is not a crime to not read the whole thread, but like real life conversations, if you join them late you have no idea about the tone and topic and can make yourself look very foolish if you make a comment out of context, simple really. I hold a high-bar in such things and I make a concerted effort not to do what I have criticised. A few obviously think I am too critical, so be it, we all have our own standards.

Cheers. Brad broke his foot in the pre-season showdown and hasn't played a game this year. Carbon copy of his season last year. Broken leg in pre-season showdown, missed the first 12 rounds, then came in and averaged 30 possessions. Hopefully he does the same this year. Is an absolute gun but we've missed him having a full season the last 2 years.
Matt hasn't had a decent run of full games yet. Has been sub many times again this year. When he's on, he's a gun too. Really needs to be given a decent run of half a dozen games to really start to show his potential. Is a ball magnet just like his brother. Subbed on last week against carlton and had 9 disposals and 4 tackles in a quarter. Could equate to a 36 possession and 16 tackle game.
I don't expect us to win, but think we will make it a very tight game on our home deck.

Hoping Brad doesn't get up for our match, is an absolute gun
