The win in Perth gave them a false sense of superiority.
It was never really going to last despite all the doomsayers in Aussie media.
Flaky batting with a couple old stagers running on reputation and an over reliance on one bowler was never sustainable.
Remember they lost 3 zip to the kiwis as well.
Team in transition for sure, but calling them trash is a bit harsh.
A bit more backbone and luck in crucial moments could have snagged wins in a couple of those tests.
Aussies have a few retirement problems of their own on the horizon ..

Pleasantly surprised I was wrong. Thought - on past experience- we would crumble chasing anything above 150. Shows how helpful it is to actually have a muddle order batsman in form…let alone an extra bowler. Will be interesting to see what happens when Green back in. Could they perhaps drop Marnus and leave Webster in? Would be an awfully useful attack
