A good short leg/silly point takes that 9 times out of 10. Stop putting the bloke in the danger zone, he’s having one of those days
Poor bugger. He’d feel absolutely crap, particularly if these 2 put on another 50 runs. Wonder if he’ll be in a close in catching position after tea.

What’s the record for catches dropped by a fieldsman in a test match innings? PhatBoy, you’re good on stats? That’s 3 and counting.

Didn’t Smith drop four in an innings vs Sri Lanka

Marsh is averaging worse than Kim Hughes this series

Kim Hughes had to face one of the best bowling attacks of all time with a Windies attack of Holding, Marshall, Garner and Walsh.

If you think facing Bumrah is tough, they had about 4 fast bowlers that were just as good and as deadly as him.

Allan Border was about the only Aussie batsman that could survive and make a decent score against that line up.

And the Aussies played like 15 out of 20 test that period against the windies with that bowling attack .. hard stuff for batters

There was back to back test series against the Windies back in 1984 both here and there and they were out here all the time.

They were the big money spinners back then, they were the 80s version of India, no South Africa back then either to mix it up.

Alright, that does it.

Bat Cummins at 6-8, split his training time 50-50 between ball and bat. Drop Khawaja and promote Marnus to opener. Select the most in form no.3 or promote Smith to 3 and select Green when available to his preferred 4.

Drop Starc for someone with genuine pace, someone for whom the bouncer is a genuine threat to hit a bloke. Select another bowler/bat option; if that's Webster, arrange the middle order in the way that makes the most sense.

Stop being so married to convention that you're unwilling to try a few things out of the ordinary with known quantities.
