Was having a laugh with a mate before, in 2023 I was lucky enough to go down the changerooms after another belting.

Big X came up and talked to everyone that was standing around. Nicest bloke.
I remember as he was talking to us, and I was looking over his shoulder waiting for Harry to walk past so the kids could get a photo.

I remember thinking to myself ‘hurry your story up mate, I want the kids to get a photo with sheez, and you probably won’t be in the AFL in 2 years’. Makes me sick to think I acted like that.

My kids remind me everyday that I cost them a photo with X. Their most loved player. My young fella and a couple of his mates were playing footy in the back yard on the weekend, and they took it in turns on who got to be Xerri.

If you read the working on the injury report it sounded as if he might have a nick or something very minor come up on the scan. I reckon he won’t play this week. They’d be crazy to risk one of our best. Rest him and get him right.

Our structure fell away alot as soon as his presence on-field and tap work was gone against the Crows last weekend, so if he's out injured that's just more disruption that isn't needed for this team. It needs consistency.

We don't really have a ready to go second option in the ruck without sacrificing position.

Take zero risks with our no 1 Ruckman, only 3 games in, if not 100% no risk of aggravating it by playing, give him a spell, possibly bring both Teakle amd Finbar in to cover, and leave Darling in F50

It's fair to say that our chances of winning the game rest on this. Not sure why we didn't recruit a mature ruck as a back up. I would have even been happy if we brought Tommy Campbell back into the club - he is a perfect backup ruckman who is happy to be stuck in the VFL until required.

I would certainly be a lot more comfortable going into the game with him as first ruck than Teakle.

let’s see 1 hour before the bounce on Saturday and what the ins/outs are going to be. The VFL game is on the Sunday, so if it was before seniors we would have more of an idea based on who was pulled out of that game.

I’ll say this much, Teakle is listed as an emergency, or on the bench come 6 PM tonight.
