What's the expectation for Barrass re: games for the year?
A lot of talk about how bad his back is and how it will require constant maintenance, but so far I've not heard anything over the pre-season about where he's at with it.
Some track watchers mentioned that Barrass had told fans at training before the break that essentially the extent of his back issues were overblown and that it requires no special treatment outside of the typical body management a player around 30 would deal with.

That said, he's never played more than 19 games in a season in his career. So I'd expect he will be managed throughout the year to try and make sure he's right for a potential finals campaign.

Gee whiz Ramma has bulked up a heap…

I think this is the best shape out players have looked in a pre season for a long time.

So many players (Ramma, Newk, Ginni, Blank, Lewis, Scaife, etc) are all looking noticeably stronger and leaner. Even old heads like Gunners look as good as I've ever seen.

I think our conditioning team are absolutely killing it the last three years, they have been producing super fit players and keeping our injury list at very low levels as well

Kudos to you fitness team!

What worries me is in his highlights after taking a mark or spoil he spends quite a bit of time on his back on the ground.

HNY Hawks, only been saying that for the best part of 18 months, mainly to parts my own board and some salty Freo supporters that liked to inexplicably chime in on the Barrass trade thread.

Have track watchers been happy with how he’s looked, came as advertised? Him and Battle have given you guys incredible backline depth.

Speaking of spines, despite holding your draft picks this year I was sad to see Calsher go down with lumbar stress fractures. That is one that needs careful management and hope to see him back on the park soon after an excellent debut season.

FYI I know many are talking about LDU but don’t be at all surprised to see pictures of Sam in a Perth cafe at some point later in the season chatting to Oscar Allen.

Something tells me that Dimma would relish playing a role on a showboat type player like Papley (who I love to watch do his thing).
I love watching Papley do his thing as well.

The vanishing act he does in Grand Finals is glorious to watch and a thing of beauty.
