I have only been lurking here for a few years. I can imagine there is a breakaway to set up a private group every now and again. I remember people talking about it last year etc. now looks like another new one has started. A few new crew adding some thoughts this year and it will slowly build up again. I reckon the more the merrier, the banter, the collects and the near misses is what adds to the whole bet.

I might be on my own here but I don’t reckon a few crew on a footy punting board putting on the same bets really has much of an impact on the odds as what people like to think it does. Around $60billion is spent on sports gambling per year in Australia and 60% of this is AFL. 100 blokes putting on $50 each on a 3 legged multi doesn’t mean a thing. Also to be fair I don’t think a heap of people even fully copy exactly what others put up as well. Maybe they add a bit here and a bit there. Although I was copying a few of old Toenails goal kicking multis. They hit every now and again.

Anyways, their loss I reckon. If a tree falls in the woods and no one hears it did it even happen kind of thing…..
