If we get to the end of this season and it's obvious that we still need a specialist small forward, maybe we can go and get 21 year old Jesse Motlop from Carlton. He put contract talks with the Blues on hold last month and I'm guessing there will likely be an exodus out of Carlton later this year so there's potentially an opening there. Motlop is obviously a famous NT name and Jesse spent a decent amount of his youth in Darwin so there's the natural NT connection there and there's probably a desire from him to play games in his hometown of Darwin, which we can obviously offer him. Having a Rioli, a Long AND a Motlop running around for us next year would be unreal. Deadly combos.

Yeah he has been a warrior for us and was massive in his heyday, I think either his body is letting him down now or age has caught up with him because he just isn't impacting like he used to, you don't see much of him anymore tackling, lost his reliability to kick goals too I was a huge Holman fan but alas his best is behind him I think

I think it shows where we are as a team when guys like Holman and even Swallow (yes, injured, but no guarantee to play before that) don’t get regular games. Absolute legends of the club, but they can’t be in our best for us to be our best—at least not every week. They make good subs for their flexibility though, and offer leadership and presence when we need it.

And Swallow is a tier above Holman too, so Holman will likely find himself in the VFL once Swallow and Lombard are back, barring other injuries.

He has a higher bust potential than someone like Levi, but I just think his movement in traffic is exceptional. He's got the Pendlebury / Sam Mitchell mould of being able to give himself time with disposal. I also just think his ability to hit targets with his disposal separates him.

Entirely too often kids are rated for their ability to find the football but can't do anything with it once they have it. I don't see Reid having that problem.

Yeah that's not too promising albeit all reporting still says clubs expect him to resign.

Tbh if it is a 2 year deal, likely at 1M per year, he's already paid it off, so good for him.

2M in Kew really isn't that much. Likely just an investment property.
Property is so expensive these days, you woudn't get much cheaper in a good location.
