I would say Jagga, but I really think Langford has massive upside.

His pace is a concern. I personally like him but have heard several clubs are worried about his lack of leg speed.

If this is the case and we cannot split the 2 players, you would think we are pushing hard for Pick 2.

If we don't end up trading for 2, then I believe that they do know who they want at 1, and feel comfortable with who they can or will get at 6.

Just putting it out there - this draft reminds of the 2009 Dusty draft - lots of depth, lots of mids, lots of diversity in mid styles, not many good talls but there was a big goofy ruck called Max Gawn taken at pick 34. He reminds me a bit of him. He was best available ruck but a bit of a speccy.

Reminds me more of Grundy. The clear ruck prospect (and from SA) but no one wanted to take the risk on him early until Pies @ 18. Rucks are more out of favor since then though.

Like Cal said yesterday some names are big focus for us. Lalor, O’Sullivan, Smilie, Whitlock, Bo Allan. There’s been a ton of work lately on all these guys. I’d have these guys as favourites for our first picks. I’m still not sure what we do at Pick one. Media is all over Lalor but I’ve heard strong word on FOS being the one. So we will see.

I know West Coast are thinking both Bo Allan and Jack Whitlock are not gonna be at their first pick so I expect Jobe Shanahan to come into play for them if all falls as expected.

Still a lot of water to go under the bridge. But some names are now coming out as more favoured for certain teams. A lot more will come over the weekend then Cal’s mock will be as close to what happens as possible.

All I know is it’s an exciting time to be a Tiger.

They are 2 very big question marks
A. Win contested ball
B. Ability to accumulate.

If that’s a concern at u18 level, it’s not getting any easier at higher level.

The only concern is taking ESPN's word on anything to do with footy. I'd doubt the scores if I read them on ESPN. FOS has no issue winning the contested ball.

Lalor, Smillie, Allan is a wrecking ball midfield.

Add FOS and it's a premiership midfield.

I really hope we take him with one of our 20’s picks. He was running the day after his most recent concussion FFS. Could be the best KPP from this draft and an amazing steal for the club who takes him. And he’s not just a KPD, he played plenty of juniors up forward.

Without his concussion he’d have been a top-10 lock and edging top-5. So unless there’s significant medical evidence he’s a big long-term risk if roll the dice on him as upside is massive.

Allan 11 touches a game at WAFL level just worries me so much

Where he was playing as a third tall defender.

Using possession stats with absolutely zero context severely misrepresents any player.

Allen projects as a tall midfielder eventually, like the likes of Will Day and Jordan Dawson. Probably not year one, but maybe by year two/ three.

Try and determine the interest in both of them and see which combination is more likely to achieve desired outcome.

Take Lalor at 1 and likely have to trade with Roos to get 2 to get FOS
Take FOS at 1 and potentially trade back with Crows at pick 4 instead if Roos and Blues overlook Lalor.

So many options at play would be my guess.

That said we might not even like any of them

I have a theory on pick 2.

#lolNorf don't want to take Tauru at pick 2. It's too much of a reach and they look stupid if he's a bust.
#lolNorf will have a clear #1 on their board. The guy they really want.

If we pick their guy, they will probably want to trade out #2. They will hit up the Saints. #2 + F1 for #7 + #8. That gets them a good mid + Tauru.
