I'll likely raise this again sometime next year, but now feels like the right time to see a change in our leadership group
Even with Meg Mac looking like playing on, this could be the time to pass the torch to the next gen of leaders, and I think Nina looks the obvious choice as our next captain - we've seen her grow season on season where she now seems to really understand her game. This could also free up Meg Mac if she is playing on
As part of that change, I'd like to see Kearns as part of our leadership group - watching her she has a real presence out on the field, and is definitely a player who leads with her actions
Missed a couple of games and still finished 5th in the b&f.
Gone from an Irish experiment in the forward pocket to a key cog in the back half.
The way she plays has made her one of my fave’s. Has Max Rooke traits which you gotta love. Fearless, and good luck to you if you are between her and the ball. Always had that but has now learnt about the nuances of our game.

Anna-Rose looked like she was tracking at the same levels of improvement. Will be a big loss next year IMO.
Imagine if Aishling improves at that level. If so, she will go down as the greatest AFLW player yet by the time she’s done. Let’s dream.

Port cannot get the ball forward of centre at all

They had a chance for the first score of the game, instead they got caught holding the ball and North took it the length of the ground to score the opening goal
They've struggled to get it forward since then

I'm glad Port did hit the board before half-time and hope they do manage to kick a few majors today - we know what it's like to be completely out played and it's simply not a nice feeling
I doubt they'll make a comeback to the point of putting real pressure on North, but would love to see them make a contest of the second half

Not sure who I want to win next week.
On one hand, it'd be good to witness history and see Brisbane be the first team to win both premierships in a calendar year, but on the other hand if North Melbourne win that'd make us the only team they faced this year that they didn't end up winning against.

North have been the best team this year and deserve the win and as an added bonus it would make us look better as the only team they didn't beat..., Hell we should have won that game.
