So... Are we done for the trade period? Pretty darn satisfied if so, but I do so love a dramatic turn or two.

Say, our 2016 2nd round picks and Hawthorn's 2017 first for Jaeger? I know this is a 0% chance, but geez it would be hilarious.

I can't for the life of me understand how geelong can trade a future first round pick when they've already done that. Supposed to have 2 in 4. And as of now have 0 in 3?? So in 2018 they have to trade one in? Who makes these rules? How can you police the 4 year rule? When does the 4 year period start/end? I'm sure it'll be a slap on the wrist. But if you trade 2 out you shouldn't be allowed to do the tuohy trade they just did.... that's just wrong!!

AFL gave them 'special permission' :) :)

So many teams are getting greedy with list management and only looking at the now. I can see from 2018 onwards there will be gws wb stk and Melb maybe Syd then daylight for an extended period.

AFL's love children are alive and well - if it was us or another smaller club I am fairly certain we would know what the answer would be

Either way you would assume a precedent has now been set ........... but who knows?

I wouldn't stress about it too much.

Whatever flimsy rule the afl apply to the cats, will apply to everyone else too.
The afl have set a precedent now.

The saints will be well placed to take full advantage of such a stupid interpretation of the wording of the afls rules.

And I'll bet we will take advantage a lot better than using it to get zach tohey in!!

I havnt posted in a loong time but in my opinion i would be happy to keep both 1st rounders for 2017 and add another 2 young gun kids to make our age demographic even younger which not only gives us more top end quality on the list but extends our premiership window aswell. Add in gun free agent for nothing at the end up next year and set ourselves up for a very long time!. Going to need more elite talent through the draft to take down the likes of GWS, Bulldogs etc in the cominf years

Maybe close to the truth. So many farms being sold in this trade period

Can see the Deludio, Marchbank traded being a 3 way deal which will send Geelongs 1st next year to Richmond.

Leaving GWS with just the one first round pick still and in need to move some salary out of the joint....

Jelly Kelly

Geelong don't have a first next year. Traded to Carlton for touhy! Which they shouldn't be allowed to trade anyway. Due to them shipping off 2 picks for Henderson and dangerfield.... bloody cats being kissed on the dick by the afl.
