He should go to another club, we have a lot of one paced mids and if he went to a club with a more dynamic mid, he can play his natural game.

We traded into itThe COVID draft year is a genuine write off. Teams that traded out of that draft had the right idea.
It is what it is.
We got excited about this new mechanism called future trading, somebody wanted to trade with us but we'd never really done it before. We didn't get it right, we got it Serong. We traded into it![]()
That list looks even worse when you realise the off field issues that juh, bruhn and hollands have gotten themselves intoIt’ll go down as one of the worst top 20’s in history. Realistically these are the top 10 players from that whole national draft. It was a unique outlier that the top 10 was so poorly performed when compared to the rest of the draft class.
1. Errol Gulden (32)
2. Max Holmes (20)
3. Riley Thilthorpe (2)
4. Jamarra Ugle Hagan (1)
5. Tom Powell (13)
6. Oliver Henry (17)
7. Logan McDonald (4)
8. Jake Bowey (21)
9. Braeden Campbell (5)
10. Tanner Bruhn (12)
Only others that will go on to have half decent AFL careers will probably be: McCreery (44), Perkins (9), Chapman (14), Hollands (7), O’Driscoll (27) and Neale (33).
Paints a pretty bleak picture especially when you compare it to the years before and year after.
Paints an even bleaker picture when you realise we traded out of 2019 and into this draft…

was a hold my beer moment after taking mahony before warner....Only North can trade a future 1st round pick to Melbourne, effectively giving up Caleb Serong or Kozzie Pickett - who helps Melbourne win a flag, and in the meantime the draft we traded into is compromised and we don’t have access to the best talent and in the end it’s riddled by COVID lockdowns.
Only North.

Good. Suffer.Swans chose Stephens ahead of Serong amongst other first round errors Ling Sheldrick Konstanty
This is the pot calling the coalmine black lol. What I wouldn't do to have had Sydney's player ID and developmentGood. Suffer.
As Konstanty becomes serviceable for another club.
They can drown in their academy and stealing fathers son's off other Clubs cesspit of leg ups, favours, downright cheating no premiership hollow in more than 10 years. Same as us, really. This is the pot calling the coalmine black lol. What I wouldn't do to have had Sydney's player ID and development
Lol. Fair play. You'd get on with DuckYeahThey can drown in their academy and stealing fathers son's off other Clubs cesspit of leg ups, favours, downright cheating no premiership hollow in more than 10 years. Same as us, really.
They’ve been in Sydney for over 40 years.**** Sydney's player ID. They'd be a middle of the road team without their academy. That club has had training wheels on for decades, just can't stand them being lauded.
Any match reportSo, seems he had a good 6... quarters? of football in the scratch.
Merlins observations in the vfl threadAny match report
****ed if I know how we didn’t see COVID coming. Amateur hour.
More our inability to assess the 2019 draft crop tbf. Even without covid we traded out of a heck of a first round talent wise
This is a "sorry, not sorry" type of situation, but you cannot tell me Phillips wouldn't have been better today than multiple guys who got a game ahead of him.
When the defensive component of our game is by far our biggest weakness as a team, dropping our best defensive midfielder is a decision that confuses the hell out of me.
I am coming to the sad but apparently inevitable conclusion he isn't quick enough for the modern game, not by a long shot. Great defensively at stoppage, but gets played through around the ground and in transition. Coach killer.Because he can't defend anywhere other than the immediate contest
there’s something about having a defensive mid when there is a gorilla like Rowell playing against us…..Because he can't defend anywhere other than the immediate contest
