Casey Council’s history of corruption likely has much to do with that. Their own residents have had enough, as is clear from the pics of a council meeting down there this week.

It’s at Arden St you f’wit so MCC council. F’ off!

Will be there tomorrow smothered in sun cream and hoping not to spontaneously burst into flames.
Oddly I feel sick in the guts nervous, same feeling I used to get when we had games that mattered (remember those), finals etc. Utterly ridiculous for a " match sim" of course but might be a pointer to just how important this year as a whole is.
My view is that we simply we cannot be in the bottom 4 unless the ladder is really congested and our percentage is over 90 and maybe 4th last with that. But we should be looking at 8 wins min and games like tomorrow, frankly, if we dont win (yes I know match sim) we are completely farked. And my hope is that we are no longer that.

I hope to see Powell go well against actual opposition, Goad get a run and begin to do enough to suggest that for at least half the year he could play and improve on Teakles output in that back up role (7 disposals a game, less than a goal a game, 5 hit outs a game). Would love to see Larkey lead toward the ball carrier or even laterally rather than backwards and really keen to see the defence, transition defending etc.

Anyway, will probably have better luck with Easter bunny and then Santa with wish lists

I'm not really sure we should be making tactical decisions because we fear how much work opposition coaches will be putting in to us this year. Let's be honest - any oppo team is backing their own system in when they play us. We need to practice responding to coaching directives in match situations, and I hope to see evidence of that.
Sure but that's more on the players in-game to make an adjustment with the leaders on the field.
Coaches can only send out a runner and talk at the breaks. I just wouldn't expect big positional moves, the magnets will get thrown around as they have a look at players in different positions.

No injuries. Is there anything we can do to minimise injuries for R1? Any effigies about that we could put to good use? Two years in a row now we've had a key emerging piece go down with an essentially year-ending injury in the first game. Be nice if that changed

Finnbar to kick 5.1 rather than 1.5 :tonguewink:
Teakle or Finnbar to grab hold of the second ruck/third tall forward role
if finnbar can get a goal a game and he pinch hits ruck that’s still decent

and allows us to have darling and larkey forward as targets all the time and for bail out kicks

Was really hoping to get a look at Whitlock but will be satisfied with watching FOS and Kerch owning the wings instead. Keen to see how Powell goes, he hasn’t missed a beat this preseason and also RHJ. How will WPhil go, it’s now or never. Really looking forward to going to the game tomorrow, I’m cautiously optimistic

Want: a football side that plays a functional and reliable style + Jy continuing his all star form + indications that we no longer need McDonald (unless ofc he's found some form over the preseason which I'd actually love to see) + Phillips playing well + Goad pushing for a round one spot

Expect: honestly don't know. It's entirely possible that the team has finally turned a corner, but it's also entirely possible that we'll continue to be one of the worst sides in the history of the league.
