I agree his running is better than some give him credit for, but nowhere near the level that we need for our specific team needs. Watching a fair bit of gather round, most opposition players have good pace and intent as a base. Will is a high pick and like Powell, LDU and Harry, thinks his way through a contest to get the ball at the most effective point. Problem is, it requires a specific environment to work and when it does it looks great, but more often or not they look like they are outworked or pensive as other players attack the ball and cause the play to develop in a more haphazard way.

Whilst I agree wholeheartedly, I actually think as quite frankly, the earliest (I'm pretty sure) detractor there was on this bloke - we need to give him more games to try and run out with some intensity. He has been mediocre but **** me, if there isn't a semi-decent footballer in there. I said to my neice (School Captain of CGS in Will's year) - "I hope we don't draft this midget" while watching CGS 1st XVIII.

I actually think he's making some strides (better than he was as a kid) and would be gutted if he put it together at another club.

He's not worse than Stephens. He's probably not worse than Tuckers Daughter.

Well he needs to prove its changed by running out games strongly in last quarters, whether VFL or AFL.
I've wanted nothing more than him to succeed, great kid, but there is no excuses this year, he's had a clear run at it.

Sure. But even Will has gotten caught guarding the wrong side in previous games, lead to goals against.
All of them have to be more switched on in the D50.

Rowell looked bigger than I've seen him before on the weekend.

Maybe it was the outfit or his presence but he looked another couple of inches taller.
