Can you explain for the rest of us why you've left Carr out?

Well if I were to judge Carr on our midfield performances this year his mug would have been right up there but I thought it only fair that I give him a fair go at the big gig first.

I have made no secret about wanting someone from outside as our next coach but it is what it is, so as long as it's not Hinkley I will cut him some slack until he can put his stamp on things, I will pass judgement then.

Which can be true on occasion. I think the more accurate statement should be "Successful clubs promote within" Port Adelaide is not a successful club, currently.
