With Retro kits clubs bring out they should actually get ex players to don them that fans instantly think of when they see that jumper.
Freo have done this in the past with the Green jersey and the anchor gradient jersey... I completely agree - especially with West Coasts new membership drive about being a great club with a great history and now it's a new era.

Eagles need to bring back that 2000/2001 ochre jumper just for a round
Apparently theres another guernsey being used for WA Day, and the ochre would fit pretty well, considering its a giant wa coastline

Electric Eagle pics. It got officially released yesterday at midday Perth time.

It got mentioned in the promo material. Some rubbish about the relationship with Ford always moving forward.
The NFL logo orientation
I know it was discussed at an AFL Licensing meeting that all but one NFL logo is oriented front on, or facing to the right (Philadelphia the exception), supposedly representing the future in the world of logo design.
Most of the recent AFL logos to that point were facing left. Hawthorn, Geelong (on-field), Bulldogs & Sydney.
Even Collingwood and Richmond the body is facing left, and only the head is turned to the right.

It would be very appropriate for a cat logo to have variants going both left and right and for those to be used absolutely at random.

A little bit like these West Coast jumpers for use in East Coast games

Pies fans, (and others)
I must've missed it when the 2025 kit got revealed, but how are we feeling about the reversion to thinner stripes?
Gotta say I was pretty fond of the thick stripes of the last 3 or 4 years, for some reason it gave me an American sports vibe and it felt like a statement piece.

i like the thinner stripes, but i don't like the additional stripes on the sides

1999 vibes.

I'm not 100% confident with this retro jumper just yet but I should get a confirmation soon. An interesting theory someone told me about the wrong logo being on the jumper is that Collingwood are distancing themselves from the Australia flag logo. For those living in the city, would this be a likely thing they would wanna do?

The 90's AFL logo with the 80's Collingwood logo is messing my OCD
The Pies did use that logo in the early 90s...however they didn't have the Nike sponsored guernsey then. They had a woollen guernsey with the Spicers Paper sponsorship.

So yeah, it does seem a bit anachronistic.
