So back to my question: There hasn't been anything from him, his manager, the club, his parents, his siblings that he is unhappy and wants to leave AND you "don't know him or anyone close to the club" but you have a "hunch" he's going to leave based on… absolutely nothing.

I think this says more about you and your mindset than anything to do with Zane.
It's other people reading into his pre-draft comments about wanting to play with his brother some day and draft night behind the scenes supposedly saying to Nate about how he gets to play on Anzac Day.
I also read Nick Watson say he'd love to play for the Pies and thrives off playing in front of crowds.
Kids say a bunch of stuff that you could interpret one way or another. Once they get drafted it's irrelevant.

I guess we'll see if * have a crack at him this trade period with their two R1's or is it Reid they are after.
Nothing from Zane suggests he wants out and seems pretty happy in club videos.

It’s moot because we don’t have him and haven’t seen him in our forward line, but I disagree with this. A guy like Watson transforms our forward line.

Don't you see though? You can never make a wrong draft selection if the guy you didn't choose wouldn't be any good in your system anyway

We will never know because we don’t have him, but he would transform the forward line?

You negate your own argument when you do mine.

We don’t know and never will. But everyone seems to want what we don’t have.

Should have got the wizard, should have traded JHF pick beforehand.

My point is it seems more than likely most clubs would have done what we did.

Young player, limited prep in a historically bad team. Time will tell. Back him and the club in.

just the 1 training session next week

Captain's Run (Arden Street Oval)
Saturday, March 22
10am-10.30am AEDT

Training (Arden Street Oval)
Thursday, March 27
10am-12pm AEDT

Only one open session

There'll be an indoor weights/recovery/etc session on Tuesday. And likely a to-be-announced captains run in Adelaide on Saturday.

Repeat leads. Repeat leads. Repeat leads.

That's what the Wiz does best, IMO, and it's what we don't do well.
Unrewarded running.

It’s the key driver of why we’re so shit.

No one wants to run hard with the possibility they won’t receive the footy.

They don’t want to run hard even if they might get the footy. Some probably don’t want it.

Just on running. I noticed quite a bit that weird shit going on when we did get the ball into our forward line. Too many players were bunched next to each other and all running on the same path. It looked like a weird rugby hardline except no one knew wtf to do and they were all calling for it before looking at the posts or the opp ahead.

You don't target CCJ or Stephens though. They are limited.
You mean former first rounders who have shown they are talented through juniors

Hasn’t translated to seniors but they have natural talent and their ceiling is much higher than the battlers I target

They might have been talented juniors, but I haven't seen that talent at AFL level.
Some players have limitations and don't have what it takes at the level.

I don't think the issue is fitness, I think it is coaching. Our players run, but all into the wrong spots. Particularly obvious in the forward line where we look like headless chooks and are almost incapable of finding a lead.

Came to training for a bit. Match Sim stuff.

Pink and W Dawson the main defenders for the Pink team.

Corr and Comben for the Blue team. Comben seems to be moving fine.

Whitlock is in pink and seems to be the third option behind Pink and W Dawson. He's also noticeably skinnier than the others. Not sure about a likely call up this week. We will see.

Griffin Logue running laps, also appears to be moving totally fine.

Hardeman playing for Blue. Looks good.

Colby has sprayed multiple kicks in the short time I've been watching. Not ideal. Seems to be overthinking.

Powell and Sheezel the main ball winners for blue.
Phillips and Parker the main ball winners for pink.

Caleb Daniel looks like a leader out there, directing traffic well.

As I type this, Colby tried a kick sideways in the backline and it was intercepted, resulting in a goal for Zurhaar.

Xerri has floated forward a few times and led up to the ball carrier. Like seeing that.

Darcy Tucker is playing in the back 6.
Geordie Payne getting some good touches through the midfield for Pink.
Duursma also in Pink, needs to work on his positioning. Often sees the ball going over his head.

RHJ looks lovely up forward for Blue. Has had two shots on goal from I50 marks, but missed both.

Jack Darling has shown some strong defensive pressure efforts up forward.

Do you know if McKercher was training wing/mid or HB?
