Played my first round since NYE last weekend.

52 on the front 9 at my local course. Very rusty.
Warmed up and shot 40 on the back 9. 5 pars 4 bogeys.

Late decision to have a hit today. 32 points off 14 hcp.
I was 12 points after 7 holes. Then the same after 10 holes. Had 1 point on 11.

The 18th is a tough hole and I hit a 5 wood out of the fairway bunker 165m to 5m past the pin. Left the birdie putt dead centre to the hole 10cm short. If you go a metre past the hole it falls down a tier and you have nearly 10m back up the hill.

Left my first sub 80 out there at St Andrews in tough conditions too. Absolutely shot the lights out and had two green side brain fades on 10 and 16. Flat.

39 points. 83 off stick. 9 pars, 6 bogeys and 3 doubles.

at the peninsula kwood CC today. north provided challenges in overcast and slight windy conditions. It was ok to play in. Greens were true if not slow compared to usual standards. High 20s score which was about where im at.

According to rankings across the board, RM West is.

The Sandbelt in general is awesome, grouse and ace. In alphabetical order:

Commonwealth
Huntingdale
Kingston Heath
The Metropolitan
Peninsula Kingswood Country Golf Club
The Royal Melbourne Golf Club
Victoria
Yarra Yarra

But further east, you got the mornington peninsula, full of great courses. The Dunes, St Andrews Beach, Moonah Links, you cannot go wrong with these.

Think I got confused as last two times I've played we copped the dangerous weather siren on 16 and 17 and I'd never played the 18th.
