Goddard was the biggest steal in the 2014 draft IMO
When you add McKenzie at pick 22 I think we did incredibly well out of those two picks. Hopefully got two ten years players right there.

Jack Lonie and Jack Sinclair have a bit to say about that!Goddard was the biggest steal in the 2014 draft IMO
Jack Lonie and Jack Sinclair have a bit to say about that!
Haha yes true.
Out of those three my crystal ball says Sinclair will be the best of the three, (oooh Smoke controversial)!
I thought Lonie might end up being the best of them. His pressure acts are some of the best in the AFL already IMO. He has that Cyril Rioli type of attack on the man.
It's a nice problem to have when we can't agree on who will be better of Goddard, Sinclair and Lonie. They'll all be very very good players that's for sure!!
And some people have scoffed at the idea Brown should be on an AFL list?
Hughy's gotta be in the mix for next week....http://www.sandringhamfc.com.au/footy-match-report.aspx?id=392
The Zebras were struggling to find a match up for Daw, who was proving to be too quick and too strong for the Sandringham defence.
Majak Daw’s influence deteriorated significantly when he moved into the ruck, with Jason Holmes having the better of the match up. The move also freed up Hugh Goddard, who had his best game for Sandringham.
Mitch Brown, playing behind the ball, was influential in keeping Werribee at bay in the third.
Mitch Brown had his best game for the club, amassing 29 disposals, taking 13 marks and kicking 2 goals. Clint Jones put in another workman-like effort with 25 touches and 12 tackles, while Josh Saunders collected 23 touches and kicked 4 goals.
Down back, after the initial struggles with Daw, Hugh Goddard finished with 17 disposals and 7 marks. Farren Ray was also influential off halfback with 26 touches and 10 marks.
So Hughy only had 14 possies, not 17, but 100% efficiency? The Saints have done some stats with DE, contested possessions and score assists (although no hitouts like grimlock's, who also has the oppo players).

Ray - played on the wing ... work rate was tremendous.
Saunders - had a day out … covered a lot of ground both defensively and offensively.
Curren – (did) what we asked him to do … can play on-ball, but we had him forward.
Ross - solid game with plenty of grunt work in the clinches … our highest clearance player.
Minchington - not as much through the midfield (this week) … good in the clearances and looked really dangerous.
Wright - solid … some good run … needs to be mindful on defending a crumb.
Goddard - our best defender … held his own all day.
Simpkin - another good game … on offense is trying to get used a little bit more.
Gilbert - gave us some good run off half-back (as well as) leadership and direction.
Lee - quieter day … playing on bigger opponents … great effort … ball use was pretty good.
Membrey - put on great pressure and was a real presence.
Murdoch - didn’t have a massive game in terms of numbers, but he used the ball well.
Pierce - stepped up when Paddy went down injured and had a good game.
Holmes - work at ground level was excellent.
McCartin - was looking pretty dangerous.
Baker-Thomas (dev) really improved … positioning and reading of the play was really good.
Payne (dev) - played up forward … good game and is continuing to develop nicely.
