I am born and bred in Tassie. I lived there 30 years, but have since moved to Brisbane in 2006, where I live with my wife and 3 children. I still call Tasmania home. I was at the Tassie v Vic games at North Hobart in the early 1990s. I used to watch Clarence play Glenorchy in the state league.

In 1982, I started barracking for Carlton. I often say we were the best team in the league for the first half of my life, and the worst team in the league for the second part of my life. I still remember Stephen Silvagni’s birthday. I can never bring myself to watch the 1993 grand final again. I’ve stuck fat with Carlton through the bad times.

The problem for me is that Tassie and Carlton are both in my heart. I love them both.

I don’t think I will know which team I will barrack for until I see them play against each other for the first time. I’m coming down to watch them the first occasion they play at the new stadium. At that point, I think I will have my answer.

Nice story, The first game at the new stadium will be massive. Interesting to see how one could get a ticket.

There's every chance I change once the Devils come in. As far as my BF supported team status that is. Whilst the Blues are up and about and the Devils are a while away, I figure I won't confuse our poor Blues board mods while I post there regularly, they have enough to deal with.

I imagine I'll always support both teams, but which one truly grips me as uno numero remains to be seen, could well be Tassie, shall follow my heart when it happens.
