This is what the Southern Cross Football League ends up as. The winner of each division play the other four in their division to determine the conference winner. The conference winners play each other to determine the Grand Finalists.

Capo D’Orlando were born because of Fremantle’s thirst for football. With its Italian heritage of the Azzurri, Capo will don an all Azure kit. The Wolves will be based at East Fremantle Oval hoping to gain a supporter base of the disenfranchised and only then will success follow.

The North East of Adelaide gets another opportunity to show its wares in the top league with Tea Tree Gully awarded a franchise. The Gullies will continue to use Banksia Park as their home base. The Taipans will wear a Black guernsey with Teal and Maroon Bars.

The ‘Cats were founded in 1880, Kingborough have won 16 premierships over their history. This shows their fans and opposition they can play at the highest level and achieve the ultimate success. Twin Ovals will continue to be the home for the Sabrecats. New kits for the upcoming season sees the team in Orange and Charcoal. The Tigers of old but with a new attitude.

The Peel region is crying out for more top line teams. Rockingham wanted to fill that void and also create a rivalry with Mandurah. The Rams will continue to play and. train at Anniversary Park. The Rams still have the Tricolour but now with Maroon and Green.

This club was formed by the Townsville league, to unify the town with one team. The Trojans will continue to train and play at Riverway Stadium. With club formed, the Trojans will now have a traditional rival in Cairns for the supremacy of North Queensland football.

The Bandits want to steal the hearts of fans with their determination and single- mindedness to be the premier team in the Capital. Founded in 1971, Belconnen have the tradition of hard work and hope to build on their 4 premierships. The Bandits will be based at Kippax Oval for training and Manuka Oval on match days. Belconnen will wear an amalgam heritage jumper of Navy with a Black centred Stripe and the clubs monogram centred.

Wynyard came into the new season donning a new look with a nod to the past and fellow Cats teams around the country. Green Hoops, Tasmania’s traditional colour, on the Navy guernsey heralds in a new era for the club. Founded in 1885, with 7 flags, the Wildcats put the Wyn in Wynyard. Wynyard Recreation Reserve will continue to host training and match days. In 1967, playing in the State Championship game, the Goalpost Final v North Hobart at West Park Oval, as it came to be known. Fans invaded the field and removed goalposts to avoid a loss ending the game in a No Result.

With over 125 years of history behind them, West Adelaide was founded in 1892. The Bloods have become an institution in Australian football, winning 9 hard- fought premierships over the journey. Due to the ruling where no two clubs can have the same uniform, Wests will revert back to an almost heritage strip, a Red guernsey with Black Stripes. Richmond Oval will continue to provide the clubs training and match day facilities.

Formed in 1927, the Tricolours are an institution of Capital Territory football. With 27 premierships to their name, Ainslie are primed to take on the best on the big stage. Ainslie will continue to be based at Alan Ray Oval. The Tricolour will continue on with Red, White and Black Diagonal Bands on a Champagne guernsey.

Burnie have been playing football in the North West since 1885. With an astounding 32 premierships and 2 State Championships in the trophy case, Burnie are the engine room of the North West. The Blackjays will train and play at West Park Oval, Pinnae in Blanco, Amorim et Ignis is Burnie’s motto meaning Wings of Black, Fanning the Flames.

The new boys of footy want to show the league they are capable of matching it with the established clubs. Derwent Valley represent the South West and are ready for any challenge. The Thylacines will train at Cygnet War Memorial Oval. Valley will wear a Sorrel and Anthracite Striped guernsey, Sorrel Shorts and Hooped Socks.

East Devonport have been a fixture of North-West footy since 1901. Lifting 4 premierships in that time, East Dev want to be more than the little brother to the bigger clubs. Playing and training at Girdlestone Park, the Dukes, a type of swan; have added Teal to their famous Red jumper with White Vee.

The Hoppers have grafted out 6 premierships over their history. Founded in 1937, North Albury will continue to wear their famed Green guernsey with Gold Vee. A new change sees the Hoppers now wearing Green Shorts and transferring the Yellow to the clash kit. North Albury’s Buntin Park will continue to serve as their home ground for match days and training.

Founded in 1882, North Ballarat have set the benchmark for country football clubs. With 18 premierships and 3 State titles, the Rebels set the standard all other clubs aspire to. Training and home games will be played at Eureka Stadium. North’s home strip is a White guernsey with a stylised Eureka flag motif in Navy. Navy Shorts and Navy Socks round out the uniform.

North Launceston have a trophy case bursting with 31 premierships and 3 State titles. Founded in 1893, North will continue to train and play at York Park. The Spitfires will be resplendent in a Red guernsey with the NL Lettermark continuing with the traditional Red and Black livery, the team will be soaring into the new season.

Playing and training at the picturesque North Sydney Oval, the Bruins get their chance to showcase their wares on the big stage. North Sydney will be in a 3 way battle with Manly and North Shore for honours of the best team north of the harbour. The Bruins will wear an Azure guernsey with a Cobalt Sash, Cobalt Shorts and Hooped Socks.

Gather round, Alberton has had football play there since 1880. Wearing Magenta, Cobalt and Yellow, the Aces will represent the Portside of Adelaide. With players and officials of the past such as Ebert, Phillips, Williams and Cahill, the club looks in good shape to emulate the feats of the legends of Alberton.

This new club draws on a town to unite for it to succeed. Collectively winning a staggering 76 premierships, this already instils a winning culture for the club from the beginning. The ‘Birds will set up their head office at Gawler Oval while playing games at Elizabeth Oval. The new colours of White, Black and Azure have been embraced by the Riflebirds supporters.

Golden Grove are the young bucks of the footballing world, the club was established in 1995. With 6 premierships, the Kookaburras keep rising through the divisions with continued success. Training and playing at Harper’s Field, Grove will sport a Green guernsey with a Cobalt and Yellow Chevron, Cobalt Shorts and Cobalt Sicks with Trim.

Mt Gambier want to be the renegades of the competition. So naturally, this became the symbol of the club and then the mascot. Wearing Maroon, Green and White, the club decided on these colours because they were a mixture of the top line clubs that play in the town. Malseed Park was the obvious choice to serve as the club’s training and playing base.
