Glad we've got a good young developing ruck coming through to get excited about.
Oh wait....we don't.
Can't see us ever trying Thilthorpe as the no.1, sooo we probably should be bringing someone else through...
Horrid succession planning for a ruck well past his best (which was never really that good anyway)

I reckon he has ramped up his study and that time commitment has made him lose a bit of touch around the ground.

As noted, his marking used to be reliable. Not so much now.

Have we confiscated his mobile phone though?

Can someone explain why, when Tex or Berg take the forward 50 ruck contests, ROB stands 10m away from them in no man's land?
The same reason Butts was standing 5m from a number of stoppages.

Our coaches are s**t.

He is trying to figure out if he should try and take a mark.

We're never going to be a contender while this bloke is on the field.

Can't kick. Can't run. Can't mark.

There's a reason why he's always looking to dish off to a player coming from behind. His kicking is a liability. And now his dropped marks are becoming a liability.

We must prioritize drafting a ruckman with our late picks or rookie picks. I wouldn't mind using the MSD for this.

Some players have a terrible kicking action and they make it effective like Gryan Miers

O'Brien has the combination of a terrible kicking action and being a terrible kick.

It's not that he "can't kick" as in he isn't as good as other AFL players. It's like he actually hasn't learned how to kick properly and struggles to execute the action

His ruck work has been good this year

Around the ground play possibly the worst it's ever been. Even Gollant offers more
Thought that was his best game around the ground against Brisbane, on a good opponent too. Hopefully a building block to more consistent form in that area.

Also, for people talking about having a young ruck on the list, they are the easiest type of player to trade for. Looks like we are linked to one from Brisbane atm, someone like Tyler Goad at North is gettable if North continue to be s**t. Given that Soldo is number one ruck at Port now and they also traded for Sweet, why not try poach Visentini?

Geelong have been a contender for years with Rhys ******* Stanley as the main ruck. Port rolled out with Lycett for a long time. The least important position to win a flag by a country mile.
