Hard to tell but given the umpires run and grab the guy off the interchange probably just an error? Someone in that thread said Sydney were given the option of wiping the score and chose not to. Surely that can’t be the case.

Apparently happened in the SANFL prelim as well.

Still current rules but Sydney said not to wipe Southports score.

What is it with Sydney and interchange infringements? Although they're usually the ones in the wrong.

The mighty North Adelaide Roosters started with 19 on the field in the last quarter. We had people in the rooms so there wasn't 4 going off towards the bench before the bounce but only 1, with 2 in the rooms.
They kicked 1 goal 2 in the 4 minutes before the extra man came off and won the game by only 5 points.

Word is the SANFL interchange steward knew about the 19th player.

The rules state that an opposition captain has to ask the field umpire for a head count.
If there has been an infringement the team in question has their score wiped and the game continues.
As this didn't happen its play on, result stands.

Will be massive if the game is taken off North Adelaide for obvious reasons.
