Been told a number of good ones come into Caloundra this year. They r very happy with their off season.
Dylan Pascoe from hinterland also training there. He’s a bloody good footballer
Certainly picked up more than a few handy ones which will help cover losses. Another 3 not mentioned have moved on for the year (should be back 2025 - plus a few top liners currently working away) for a variety of reasons that would’ve been in there top 6 last year.

Hearing Springwood have a got a few very good ones back plus some very handy recruits. Will be right there again.

Caloundra do always tend to pick up more than a few handy ones, especially from Victoria. Can’t blame them who wouldn’t want to live on the sunny coast and play footy 😂

Pascoe was one of hinterlands best last year so that is a massive pick up for them and massive loss for hinterland. Hinterlands probably 3 of their top 5 players now gone will hurt them a lot.
In the games I watched I thought he was their best player. Classy mover.

Abrupt ending to Watson captaincy tenure at Caloundra. Named 2nd year player as replacement this week.

Watson expected to sign alongside gribble and Giles for big money at moreton bay.

Massive loss for Caloundra if Watson is gone, definitely been one of the top players in this comp for a while. Massive get for Moreton if true, Moreton almost become a Smokey with some of that top end talent in the team, Giles, Gribble now, Nickalls up forward. Some good talent.

I hear he's not the only one on the way out.. Don't be shocked if you see them toward the bottom half of the comp.

Watto not playing - looking to do a ironman tri and training specifically for this. 2nd year player?? Trent Saxelby?? More like a 10 year player and previous b&f winner and club stalwart

Finally got a fixture release. Very strange how they have set out this draw but that’s AFLQ for ya, at least we don’t have to wait very long for a grand final rematch

Strange is right, Beenleigh travelling to the Sunshine coast the first two weeks!!. Also our nearest and biggest rival and probably biggest crowd puller, Springwood (16 kms away), we only play twice, but Hinterland, 100 kms away we play 3 times. I am sure AFLQ have their reasons but yep a bit strange.

Could describe it as quite a 'condensed' draw

No split rounds, 2 competition byes. Otherwise wall-to-wall footy from April to August!

what week is Splendour on this year?

Without looking at last year's draw, might be a square-up?

And yes can confirm no Splendour bye!

from a competitive point of view, surely you'd rather play Hinterland 3 times than your nearby neighbours who are the reigning Premiers...?
