Surprising a journo has gone to a team training and written a bunch of positive things about no name players/ new rookies….
We didn’t rate Keeler - at all - and chose not to pick him. If we got it wrong we’ll so be it - but David King saying there is something there from watching training for an hour isn’t something we should worry about

Keeler, "there's something there" .....naturally, otherwise he wouldn't have been Drafted .....most people could see he has a lot of talent .....it's his work ethic thats been questioned

Adelaide has welcomed some of its most famous names back to West Lakes this week as part of its Crows Academies Father/Son program.
The sons of five Crows greats - Mark Ricciuto, Simon Goodwin, Ben Rutten, Simon Tregenza and Mark Stevens - have shadowed the AFL squad, getting their first taste of life as a professional footballer.
Some of the youngsters have travelled far and wide to be involved in the program, with the Stevens brothers (Mitchell and Will) coming from Gippsland, Victoria, and Eddie Goodwin and Jack Rutten coming from Melbourne.
Crows Academies manager Jarrod Meers said this activation highlighted the significance the Club put on its Father/Son program.
“Many would have seen over recent times that we have placed a significant focus on bolstering strong Father-Son tradition and Crow Academies activations,” Meers said.
“We see this as an extremely important part of the Adelaide Football Club and the continuation of building the history of the Crows.”
This group of Father/Son prospects follows a successful period in the blossoming program, which helped Max Michalanney be drafted to the Club and Tyler Welsh be signed as a SANFL player in his draft year.
Meers said it was exciting to see the development of the program.
“To date we have had three Crows Father/Sons in the history of the Club,” Meers said.
“Assisting to accelerate player development and help educate and advance our Father Sons is a wonderful way for us to support them on their football pathway wherever and whatever level they finish playing at.”
The list of boys attending the Club this week, in age order, is as follows:

However I think a few of those dates might be off. Tregenza for example is listed as only 15 in this article Caleb Tregenza, son of Simon, among talented youngsters in NGA program which suggests he isn't draft eligible until at least 2025
Mitch Stevens and Eddie Goodwin are only turning 17 this year so neither are eligible until 2025 as well
Jack Rutten and Nick Ricciuto played U15s last year so won't be eligible until 2026

Some of the early F/S years could be off by a year. The AFL changed the minimum draft eligibility date in 2009. Previously, kids had to be born prior to 1st October to be eligible for drafting - that was changed to 1st January. This affected kids born in the Oct-Dec window, who had their draft eligibility pushed back by a year.
I couldn't be bothered to go back and change it, assuming I could even find their birthdates anyway.
Kids born from 2010 onwards should definitely be correct. Those born in 2009 or earlier (i.e. this batch) all have a 25% chance of being out by a year.
He's already on the list - eligible for the 2028 draft. He's just not in the photo which prompted the current discussion.
