Spurs signed Theo Ratliff. One year at vet's minimum.

Great signing, adds front court depth and is insurance if Mahimni (sp?) or Blair don't work out.

Have to love the Spurs. Every move they've made this off-season looks to be a winner.

AHHHHH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA etc.

There is still a possibility that Stephon Marbury could return to the Celtics, according to a league source.

Marbury originally turned down a deal with Boston worth the veteran's minimum of $1.3 million.

The point guard's only other option is Europe, according to Comcast SportsNet New England.

Failing to see what's funny. He was no problem at all last season, and although he didn't play that great, one game he came in and lit it up - he can still ball. We really only need a back-up PG (if we can keep BBD) and our roster is complete. Marbury is a better option than Lue.

Coup of the off-season.

I'm laughing because he seemed to think he was an attractive commodity when he said the following last month and as it's turned out no one wants him and he's now crawling back to Boston.

Stephon Marbury told the Boston Globe early Friday that he believes his time with the Celtics is over.

Marbury told the paper that the Celtics offered him a one-year contract worth the veteran's minimum of $1.3 million.

"Thank you Boston for allowing the world to see me play again after all that went on in N.Y.," said Marbury. "The fans treated me with open arms and that's all anyone can ask for."

He revealed that three other teams are interested in his services.

Definitely a 'meh' signing.

The Spurs have had an ok off-season, nothing more

Ok offseason? They picked up RJ in his prime without giving up one of the big 3, signed a solid veteran in Mcdyess and picked up a top 15 draft talent in the second round in Bliar. I agree that the Ratliff signing is not going to set the NBA world on fire, but to say the spurs had and ok offseason is like saying Shawn Marion is a big time playoff performer.

RJ is in his prime? We must have watched different players. You know 80% of his shots last year were jumpshots? He is a jumpshooter now and a below average one at that. Welllllll past his prime. It's an ok move, but nothing brilliant.

signed a solid veteran in Mcdyess
Decent move, imo on par with the Jefferson pick up, maybe better

and picked up a top 15 draft talent in the second round in Bliar
Don't start relying on 2nd round picks

Only 29 years old, 9 years in the NBA. scored 19.6 and 4.6 rebounds in only 35 mpg.

That's not his prime.

Jefferson was in his "prime" a few years ago at New Jersey, since then he's moved from an impact player to a role player fading into the distance.

He doesn't shoot as well or rebound as effectively anymore. And probably has more on the downturn. He's over the hill.

Over the Hill? look at his last 2 and a half months of last season.
