Improved mock draft

they knew franklin couold play though.. with yarran, yeh he can play, but it would be a safer bet taking the brick wall in michael hurley, especially when you need a key defender, instead of taking a yarran, hoping that he kicks on and improves.

There is no difference.

They know Yarran can play equally as much as they knew Franklin could play.

So you're making the call now... Yarran the Franklin of small-medium forwards? ;)

While I know you're joking, I'll answer it anyway.

Yarran could be anything. so much x-factor but had a long way to go. Not dissimilar to where Franklin was.

No I am at all saying he could be like Frankin, that would be borderling moronic, but I definitely wouldnt say that Franklin was a more 'obvious' talent at the same age.

guarrantee he will go higher

I reckon that Liam Jones is abit high, is too much of a risk to take a young player that high seeing as though he didnt play this year preety much.
Strauss maybe to Geelong, Hawthorn, Melbourne with 33, 34, 35

well by my draft

Buldogs just got Zaharakis and Freo just got T.Lynch but i doubt they will take him. Freo could get Waltes and Deboer and Rich if there lucky with Ballantyne (37), cockie (53) and K.King (56) now.

I would be happy to get Lynch. We clearly need a young KPP. We dont have many. Plus i would be so pissed if Freo took De Boer with anything earlier than 3rd round. If we take him at 21 when blokes like SUban are around i will cry:cool:
In my mock draft (will be posted soon, I have a yellow card atm so cant), I have Freo getting Lynch at their 2nd rounder :thumbsu:
Luke Shuey at 3rd.

Yeah i think freo and WCE are already going to be major winners at of the draft there is so much hidden talent here that not much of the scouts no about. Well not much as the eagles and freo.

I mean A.Cockie, Ballantyne, Richardson and King would be all great pick ups for there 3rd round let alone ther 5th and 6th round picks.

Expect freo to take Deboer although he could be a big slider. good player though. There was the big 4 from WA of the top agers and they were Deboer, Rich, NicNat and Yarran. Also Jetta and A.Smith other wa boys which could be bargain picks for the wa clubs.

Yeah, I would be real happy to get him. But what pick did you get him at 21 or 24? Also if Shuey is available, would love to get him in the 3rd:thumbsu:
Pick 21 :)
And Jetta at 24.
I think Shuey will be available.. if not I wouldnt be supriced. I know I say that alot.. although I am very happy with this years draft.

Thoughts? Anyone you think I’ve missed out?
I have been over it a few times .. I cant really see anyone I’m missing.

would be suprised personally if shuey did last till round 3. im thinkin 20 - 30.. same with lynch, i think he'll go earlier in thje second round than freo's pick

the only one i can see is ziebell going past brisbane apparently he could be a similar player to our new coach
but i would be very happy with o'keefe and smith in second and third

I thinking Shuey could be that low, but he could also go early 2nd rounds. it depends on how poeple rate him.
Lynch will be available then. He wont go higher I dont think.
Good effort Porps, would be very happy with Melbournes Selections especially Strauss.
Thanks :)
I wish Adelaide was in Melbournes position..
If this mock draft was true, you get very talented players.

i'd be very surprised if freo didnt pick up two mids with our first three picks.

only way i could see us not doing so is if we get NN and then shoenmakers is available at 24 (which i really dont think he will be).

id be surprised if we didnt get a mid at 21, regardless of who we get at p3. one of swift, walters, hill or robinson will be available imo and theyd be too good to pass up. good effort though.
